LoL Times Square Comedy Club reviews
40Horrible service comedians were not even funny make you but two drinks that cost you 6dls each even if it’s water they keep your card and we’re understaffed and rude
Magic show was awesome. Definitely an illusionist and mind reader. Really enjoyed the comedy also. The host Dom was just amazing! All the acts had me dying laughing.
It was great! I would definitely go again. However, I wasn't pleased with the two drink min. Since i had to buy two for me and two for my daughter. Next time, i will bring my boyfriend so he can buy the drinks. Lol comedy club
Great comedians, but weak and overpriced drinks, slow service. Worth it if you're just looking for comedy and not worried about atmosphere.
The comedy club was cool. The drinks were small for the price. The comedian's were a mixed bag. I would go again some were very funny.
Me and my husband had an amazing time here! They were really funny and very engaging with the audience which made it even better. The energy was just amazing.
So I hit 3 comedy shows the last 5 days, NYC Comedy Club, Harlem Nights (the bar, not the movie) and Lol Comedy Club. I have to say that the Lol Comedy Club takes the prize. I attended a show on 20Feb @ 7pm and it was nonstop gust busting laughter the entire 1 hour 30Mins (5 Comics). I haven’t seen a lineup this good in a very long time. It was definitely worth the $5 ticket on Groupon, if not the cost is $10 online or at the door but double check to make sure that has not changed. “LD, ” as he calls himself () was the host and he worked the room and got every table to laugh. This was a great relief for this pandemic and great opening tonight after a long long lockdown. Great job guys! See you soon!
I mean some of the comedians were Eh. But it's not fully professional and everyone has to start from somewhere. It's really a two item minimum instead of a two drink you can get a drink and the food item which isn't bad due to the fact that they let us in for free. I mean let's be real you're going to a show expect to pay something. Some of the comedians were hilarious and I definitely would recommend this comedy spot because they're cool vibes and it's right in times square. Most definitely going back.
The management and especially security are horrible in this place. They don't know how to treat the customers well. Very cheap place. Don't waste your time and money there. Stay away from this ugly place.
Better than I expected. My show included 5 diverse comedians who were entertaining. There is a two drink min on top of the cover price.
We had a great time. Love the melon ball drink. Comedians were funny. It is a little sketchy first coming into the comedy club, but it all turned out good. If you get offended easily, stay away.this place not for you. Be prepared to be called out and maybe some jokes made about you. BUT, it's all in fun. You can get good deals on shows by on tickets. It cost two of us 30 bucks. 2 drink minimum to order when you get there.can be any drink.alcoholic or non-alcoholic
It was absolutely hilarious. Both the MC and the comedians had us in stitches the whole time. Was a great way to end our night, and I'm definitely coming back next time I'm in nyc.
Genuinely the worst comedy club and some of the worst comedians we have ever seen. The club is purely a tourist trap and doesn't need to care about providing good entertainment. Instead it focuses more on making sure you buy the required two drinks (taking, delivering or receipting orders throughout the show!) Avoid and head to a real comedy club where the comedians don't get angry that they're not making people laugh.
My wife and I wanted to go out and enjoy a little entertainment for the evening and we decided to go to Caroline's comedy club because we had heard a lot about the place. While in route to Caroline's we were approached by a ticket seller on the street. Being native NewYorker's, we were used to this kind of stuff and we started to ignore him, but we gave the guy a listen. He told us about this place called LOL which we had never heard of before. The guy gave a good spiel so we decided to take a chance and go to the place. When we got there we were told about the two drink minimum. That wasn't such a big deal as most places have a two drink minimum. What pissed us off was the quality of the show. We went to the magic show and saw the worst excuse for a magician on the planet. Some guy named Eric Walton! His show was so sad that I would have rather seen three card monte on the street! People were laughing at him not with him! Afterwards We looked at the reviews and saw some bad reviews and some good reviews about his show. I don't know who he paid to write those good reviews, but who ever it was, they sure earned their money. What bothers me is how this place could continue to have a bad performer working there. New York has the best and worst of everything and this place had better find some good ones or they won't be around for long. His uncle must own the place or something. After seeing him we just left, we figured that if the comedy was as bad as the magic, we were better off cutting or losses and going over to Caroline's. Learn from our mistakes and just don't go there!
Loved the comedy show and the magic show! The comedians were hilarious. I did not stop laughing (especially the comedian with the “low IQ face”). The magician was awesome and also funny. He did some pretty simple but very effective tricks. I was definitely entertained the entire time I was at the LOL
Comedy club NY. The drinks were standard price- seemed a bit watered down. I would suggest beer! Overall good experience.
Like most comedy clubs not all the comedians were funny. 2 out of the 5 were histerical. Was a little disappointed that the 2 drink minimum for my wife and I came out to over $60. They wouldn't let us substitute food either for a drink. Probably wouldn't have gone if I knew the drinks were almost $15 a piece.
Good family fun with the best comics and magician. Order drinks and get free entry with you tour pass.
Good show, however If they reduced the minimum consumption maybe the Room would fill as the Artists are Very good
Apart from being extremely expensive, I had a great time there. All the comedians were great and very funny! I lived the show hands down!
Sad that the humor was found with the F-word and perversion. Some of the jokes were great and they had great timing, but it was pathetically sad they thought was the only way to get a laugh. 85 bucks wasted. Drinks were expensive and they required two which was fair.
