Lola's Cafe reviews
18I ordered the turkey brie panini with the peanut noodles for my lunch today. It was delish.
Was touring a college in Poughkeepsie, decided to stop here for a lunch. All I can was wow! The woman who took my order was very polite and welcoming, and the food was top tier. I ordered the “Po-town Chopped Cheese” and it was fabulous. Absolutely great tasting sandwich! Definitely will visit again next time I happen to be in Poughkeepsie.
The food and service here are both excellent. There’s always interesting specials. I’ve never had anything here I didn’t like. Highly recommend.
Great place for lunch. Very busy but worth the wait for a table. Great service. We sat at the counter and had a delicious lunch!
If you take one thing from this review it’s PEANUT NOODLES. A must order side dish. Lolas has been a PK staple for me for years and the quality has never changed. I love love love the bruschetta panini, the black bean burger and the Asian salad. Recently tried the Asian rice bowl with tofu and was so pleasantly surprised with great flavor. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu and everything tastes super fresh. I do wish they had more veg options especially the rotating soups! They also have fresh desserts though I’m usually too stuffed to indulge. Life hack in the nice weather is to take your food to go and head up nearby stairs and enjoy the sunny outdoor tables on the walkway!
Local treasure. Amazing food prepared in a fun, friendly, bustling atmosphere. Felt like a TV show could be filmed in there.or maybe it was.ha ha. We were there on a birthday for one in our group and the woman at the front counter slipped him a free cookie. It's the little things, they aren't little! They are what makes life sparkle. Yummmm.
Nice location right next to the fabulous Walkway on the Hudson with very friendly service, great sandwiches & black bean burger and a nice atmosphere.
Chipotle Turkey Panini - Fresh, Hot French Fries!
Highly Recommended Friendly Staff! Intimate dining with a very clean atmosphere!
The Filling panini did not stand a chance good to the last bite!
Take out. Food average - wait long. Some exotic dishes, but might do better if preparation had more care. Price fair. A bit to disorganized to be comfortable during lunch hour.
Stopped in on our way upstate for lunch. Located directly under the Walkway Over the Hudson. We both got sandwiches that were fresh and tasty. Service was quick. So in is you’re in town. Then walk the bridge.
If you need a caterer for an event and you’re on the fence about using Lola’s, just do it. I promise you won’t regret it. Michaela, Eddie, and team went above and beyond for our wedding this year. The food was amazing—people could not stop talking about it. Michaela was my point of contact throughout the entire process and she made me feel at ease every step of the way. You can tell that she really cares about her clients. While we were bummed she couldn’t be there the day of, Dawn was our events coordinator and she was AMAZING. From set up through breakdown Dawn and team made us feel so well taken care of. Truly a dream. Michaela and Dawn made our wedding perfectly seamless and we would have been lost without them. I have nothing but good things to say about the entire Lola’s team. I would use them again and again.
Food was good but not great. Panini was slightly burnt. Buffalo chicken salad was big but didn't have a good buffalo taste.
Such a cool little place! We stopped here after sampling some beers at the Plan Bee Brewery on our way to Albany. The short rib grilled cheese was brilliant and the pesto pasta was a very nice side. My girlfriend loved her chicken panini and side salad. Great, unpretentious atmosphere - quick, friendly service. Just a little on the pricey side, but what isn't nowadays?
On the Lola's side, the menu is very good, if limited. The olive appetizer is excellent. Staff is very friendly. It's a bit pricey though. On the Lolita's pizza side, the pizza was not at all crispy.
Every main course meal I've eaten here has been nothing short of great and tasty. The cooks know what they're doing. Only reason I give this place 4 stars is because the sides are not very good except their fries and peanut noodles. My favorite thing so far is the Red Fox wrap. I recommend this place to anyone who likes Cafe lunch.
Monday I decide to have something different for brunch and first time ordering from here the attention and the fast service was great I order the Chipotle Turkey Panini and it was great. I Definitely recommended
Had their Po Town Chopped Cheese sandwich. Wow! Best “burger” I’ve had on this trip. This place was exactly what we were looking for. Not here for long; but, we are going back.
I've already been there a few times with my girl I haven't had anything than I didn't like everything is awesome definitely a repeat customer
