I traveled from Southern California to be examined by Dr. Jovin Lombardo. He was recommended to me by my opthalmologist in Seattle. I will travel far and wide to get the best eye care, and my visit to Dr. Jovin was well worth it, and then some. I was told repeatedly by local doctors that I needed cataract surgery, that there was no way my vision could be corrected with prescription eyeglasses. Well, guess what? Dr. Jovin said that cataract surgery for me was"ridiculous. " He prescribed eyeglasses for near, and for far. And now I can see fine. I don't need the cataract surgery. Thank you Dr. Jovin. I wish you weren't retiring next month!

I always see Dr Chao yearly, it's been three years that ive seen him on this day was the saddest. Dr Chao is moving his practice to Ossing since the Lombardo's are retiring after 50 years. I am deeply sad. Dr Chao is professional, has a personality, and kind. They have a new physician signing on but the practice will never be the same without Dr Chao.

I’ve been going to this office for many years, never had an issue until today, that’s why I give 3 stars, before today my rating was 4.3. I have told them that I have sensitivity to light, sun and cars lights. To fix the problem I got tinted windows and I need a letter from the doctor to assure that I am permitted to have tinted windows. I came in today and they denied me the letter, because “there are not enough proofs that I need tinted windows and that my problem is not something that a pair of glasses could not fix. ” No need to say that I won’t be going there ever again. If they cannot help with something so simple, they don’t deserve my money. Dr.john Lombardo was so different, truly a shame he retired.

I was a patient here for several years during which time I began to have increased trouble wearing contacts due to dryness and vision issues. I had had tear duct plugs inserted by another dr that had fallen out and wanted them replaced. Dr. Lombardo wouldn't do it nor anything else to help. He adjusted my prescription and sent me on my way. It didn't help and I mostly worse my glasses. Come to find out, over a year later when seeing another eye dr in my new town, Dr. Lombardo and his brother who is retired now, had switched me out of a newer and better contact lens I previously had and given me an older kind what was adding to the dryness and vision issues I was experiencing. When I tried on the new lenses (which aren't "new" really) I could see and contacts felt fine again. He also failed to detect an astigmatism in my right eye. My new Dr.hadn't prescribed those old lenses in over 10 years! (They don't let as much oxygen permeate the eye) Clearly the aging Dr.hasn't done any continuing education in awhile so beware! Sad I've been suffering all this time and believed him that nothing else could be done.
