Why are all the review about the aesthetics of the area? No one reviews the quality of service? Really?

Picture of Citibank Building taken from inside vestibule of the Landmark Courthouse. Turn of the century architecture. Jury duty experience light years apart from the other Queens Courthouses. Friendly and Courteous atmosphere. Municipal Parking is available.
7 Train stop right here. Plenty variety of foods and prices.

In its remodeling the building was raised from two stories to four stories in order to accommodate the needs of the court. The courthouse is designed in what has been variously described as a Neo-English Renaissance, neoclassical, or Beaux Artsarchitectural style and is made of stone, ceramic tile, limestone, and metal. Two jails were formerly part of the complex, but were replaced by a parking garagein 1988. The parking structure was designed by Chicago-based architectural firm Skidmore, Owings and Merrill.

The Long Island City Courthouse complex is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and was designated a New York City landmark in 1976.

It's a nice looking building with a tiny park containing a wide fountain. It's not exactly a well manicured, well maintained kind of park, so a little splash in the fountain has never gotten us kicked out.

A 110 old courthouse, expanded from the remains from a 1870s courthouse that was destroyed in a fire. Lots of architectural details inside and out you don't find anymore, The highlight is the gigantic courtroom on the third floor, double height with stained glass comprising half the ceiling. Has been appreciated numerous times for movie and television film shoots, including Cecil B. De mill's Manslauguter, and Alfred Hitchcock's The Wrong Man,

This courthouse is being used for both criminal and civil cases. It is the first courthouse in New York City and is rich in history. Many movies have been filmed in the courtroom on the top floor. There is no charge to visit the courthouse. It is opened from 9 to 5 Monday through Friday. There is a municipal parking lot behind the court house. There is metered street parking during the day.

The folks serving at this court house are very proud to do so and make jury duty as pleasant as possible.

Beautiful building rightfully designated as a New York City landmark. Came across the building while walking around the Court Square neighborhood of Queens.
