Long Island Gold Exchange, Lake Ronkonkoma NY

Went in to sell my coin. They did acid test right away without using gold x-ray machine. And said my American eagle coin 22k weighted too much. It was little over a troy but as anyone can see online eagle coin is 1troy oz plus some copper too make it easier to mass produce.

Said my coin was fake. (It's from SD bullion) went 2 other shops who had machines tell me was real no acid test needed.
Shop is probably fine if selling jewlery but for bullion or coins it is not the place.

I met Christine who runs the exchange what a lovely and wonderful person was very thoughtful considerate and went out of her way to spend a few minutes talking about a health crisis.
