I wish they have 0 stars! This hospital is the worst and don’t treat people they just wanna make money… if you in a life and death u will die going to this hospital! Should b shut down the way they treat people here

Yesterday I went with my dad to the ER, he had a deep cut on the back of his head and we waited about 5/6 hours just so he could do a cat scan and they didn’t even stitch him or clean his wound. The doctor said she was going to prescribe him medicine for the pain but today we went to the pharmacy and there was no medicine then I called and the lady on the phone said the doctor didn’t prescribe him any medicine.
The service in there is really bad. Why call it the emergency room if they take their sweet as time! SMH.

Mean staffs
No empathy
Patients are unattended for unnecessary long hours.

So the staff here are very kind. But I am so used to other lij northwell locations being my organized for example if you have to get your blood drawn and its within the system, you can walk in and get your blood drawn within 5-10 mins max! I was in there close to 2 hours.

The security guard outside in the booth was very rude to me today 1/23/23 at around 10: 05am. Black lady with dreads. I asked the lady three questions and she caught an attitude because I was disturbing her phone call. This lady had the nerve to tell me to used my common sense because I was asking for directions to the emergency room where I had dropped off my toddler and his mom, I wanted to know if I could get there from the front entrance of the hospital or outside where the cars drove around the back to drop off people. I end up leaving, I went to the hospital off union turnpike Much better place than this dump. Dont be a security in the front if u dont want to answer simple questions.

I’ve been over 24 hours in this hospital and I still have no answers of what is going on. I will never come here again. Not even a water they offer you, I came with abdominal pain and I’m leaving with an extra migraine. Save yourself from waiting over 5 hours for a doctor and go somewhere else.

You people are so unprofessional. The hospital is meant to me shut down. If you care for your loved ones I don’t recommend this people at all.

It’s been 2 hours waiting for Mercy, my doughter has unbearable pain in her left hear and now 3am no one show up to even ask a single question, this hospital must be closed.

The staff at this location is very unprofessional. They have the worst attitude. For a hospital where people come in for all types of situations, they have to compassion for others … not to mention the front desk staff. GOD FOBID YOU ASK A QUESTION! It’s like you are asking them to actually DO THEIR JOB. Will never recommend this location for anyone.

I came here with my wife and she got admitted. She was suppose to go upstairs to the rooms which never happened. She stayed at ER for 5days. Never gave her meals for the 5days. Changed Bandages and threw it on the floor. Nobody knew what was going on. Everyone seemed to have a different version. The discharge day comes and we wait for hours almost 12hrs for the doctor to come downstairs and discharge because he said he would like to discharge the patient himself. DR BLINT KAWSKY. Every time we said we’ve been waiting for so long they asked us to leave which would be against medical advice. Sounded like a threat? Why would we want to leave against the medical advice when they themselves prepared us for discharge. How does it take 10hours for a doctor to come downstairs and say bye.
So please Save yourself and your loved one by not coming here. Thank me later.

I would have given negative stars if possible. Shut down the hospital

The front desk personnel is the most unprofessional and rude of any organization that I have been.
Please take a little time and do some training on basic polite communication skills.

I hate this hospital, my mom was in pain and i called ambulance and they made her stay in the waiting room and still waiting in room.they can never understand anyones pain.never go to this dirty bad emergency hospital.

Had a great experience with my 77 year old mother in October 2022. Turns out she had covid and pneumonia. The staff was very attentive and worked on her before she was admitted. They took great care of her.

My mother in law was taken there with difficulty breathing, wheezing, a severe persistent moist cough and a pulse ox under 90, where it is suppose to between 93-99 They said that they were going home the same day. We waited all day than at 8pm, my husband received a call that “she is staying cause they don’t like the way she is breathing”. She was kept there for a week with very little updates from her Dr…. Dr. K. My husband called several times with no response. The social worker, Melissa was extremely unprofessional and rude to my husband. She was discharged home with the persistent cough and wheezing. The next morning, we tested her oxygen level and it was 64. Call 911 and they took her to Mount Sinai/South Nassau where she was diagnosed with pneumonia, when presented in the ER. As you a registered nurse, who worked at Franklin General for almost 20 years, I am appalled at the care, the disrespect and unprofessionalism that she and my husband received from the staff at this hospital. How do you let a 89 year old woman old of the hospital with pneumonia out and tell her family that they can’t do anymore for her. “That it would be better for her to be home so she doesn’t catch anything. ” As a health care professional, you are there to help the patient and their families……. There was ABSOLUTELY NO PROFESSIONALISM or empathy here. This is the last place that I would take my family or myself. It is a sorry state of affairs to see the medical profession that I love and have been in for over 47 years end up like this. If it was up to me I wouldn’t even give this hospital 1 star!

I will not recommend any one to use this hospital specifically the ER is the worse one I ever experienced when I called 30 times to check what happened to my son that was hospitalized in a very bad stage no one was able to help me and tell me the up date with him they told me we dismissed him after 3 hours I was insisted that this cannot be he was in a critical condition after i involved the police I been told that my son transferred to a different hospital it took 8 hours to find out what happened in the end to my son. The people that working there not really was helpful

Worst hospital ever I came to the hospital in an ambulance because I fell down the stairs I might have broken my ankle I got to the hospital at 7: 40pm now it’s 1am still have yet to see a nurse or a doctor I’m in so much pain not even a pain medicine or an ice pack offered I just keep getting told we don’t know when you will be seen

I'm Sorry but this LIJ Valley Stream hospital Stinks and the Services is lousy. There's very little good Doctors, Nurses, PCA, Social worker are Lousy, I went here for 1 reason Dr. Sadhnani to do surgery on my Left Foot and he did great cleaning the Ulcer and stitches it up after that many Nurses have an attitude and don't listen to you. On Dec 14,2022 I got dress and went home. I would recommend Long Island Jewish Medical Center their rating is a lots better. This hospital LIJ Valley Stream it Suck 100 % and I won't be going back at all. Thumbs down

This is the worst hospital In the world my story is too long. If it's an emergency don't come here. They don't care

HORRIBLE PLACE. Please Don't take any of your loved ones there. They refuses to let you see, let alone provide you an update on the sick person, extremely impersonal.
I'm a health care professional and with over 40 years experience. This is at the top of the list of being one of the worst emergency rooms I've ever come across. A pity that people have to go there.
