Longwood Fish Market reviews
21 They sell fresh, steamed, and fried fish. I was happy with the portion size.
You can easily get there by the B35, B8, B15.
I use to come here everyday and I get the Same thing all the time so I know how much I usually pay! I realized since they notice a lot of ppl come and pay with food stamps they're trying to take advantage of them but ppl like me who pay cash isn't eating for free so I feel like there should be 2 different prices!
Visiting home and had to make sure I came here. I wish so badly this existed in Texas. Fresh fish steamed with any vegetable I want. Perfectly seasoned and just plain goooood. Until next year I'll be unfortunately patiently waiting.
They overcharge people with food stamps, taking advantage of poor people, that’s unacceptable smh, somebody soon report y’all
Always fresh fish and veggies cleaned, seasoned with the seasons of your choice, and steamed. Great place for something other than the fast food restaurants.
This market you choose what you want and if you want they will steam it for you. They season it to your liking. Takes about 10-15 minutes. It's really good. Also you can get fried seafood as well.
A nice place to get healthy fresh fish. Their steamed fish is a favorite. They're big steamer is constantly working cranking out those delicious steamed crab legs or shrimps or fish with fresh vegetables. Yummy They also have a nice fresh selection of fish for you to buy and cook yourself. They're always very respectful and friendly to the customer. They realize without the customer their business would be nothing. I've been coming to this place for years and I've also brought my friends to this place. Enjoy this place good food and good customer service.
Been coming there for years. I love their steamed food. Everything is a reasonable price. The market is clean, and the seasoning is on point
Prices are very high, place looks run down, it is neighborhood eatery. Nothing special. The wait is long, people still go.
Considering that this is a fish market, the store is always clean, and the seafood is always fresh. But the top of the line for me, is the steamed seafood and fresh vegetables it is sooooo good A little pricey, but much worth every cent spent.
I love the crunchiness of their fried fish but it has no taste no seasoning next time I'm going to taste their steamed food I heard it was delicious
My bf always tries something new like their swordfish and we occasionally get their Longwood Fish Market. I wouldn't necessarily recommend the Longwood Fish Market they're just decent but ALL of their fish is great.
Food is decent.prices are higher than usual due to Covid. 2 stars for running a cash business only! No credit or debit accepted at location so patrons be weary of that
There are many many fish markets around church ave Brooklyn but this specific one always does a great job. Not to mention it's my Grandma favorite spot also, thanks guys
After going there for years and being treated with respect, here I am years later returning customer and was treated very unfair. The business were going to make me wait until the cleared everybody out of the store before they gave me my order despite it being tickets given along with order and goes in order. I happened to notice my order sitting on the side were you would hardly notice it and the guy told me it's not ready so my food was sitting purposely. Unacceptable. Definitely would not reccomend.
Service was fast, definitely coming back because the food? The Food? Let me tell you the food is amazing. Definitely a go to spot for seafood
The food is disgusting. The fish has a funny taste to it, cant explain it. Like it was rotten and they tried to bring it back to life. Been there twice and returned the fish the second time, didn't even want my money back, just to let them know their food suck. Most of my co workers dont go there for fear of food poisoning. Pass on it and stay healthy.
I like the way they keep the place clean and the fish is always fresh and the place doesn't have a smell when u walk into the store. I was told that if a fish market smells the fish is not clean or fresh. They are clean as hell and friendly to the people they remember your name. I like that.
2nd time I've gone ove heard everyone rave about this place so I went. I wasn't blown away, went with some friends a 2nd time and still wasnt pleased. Not only that but the wait was RIDICULOUS!
It's a nice place to get fresh food cooked right in front of you. If you're tired of fast food, give this place a try. It's not restaurant. It's a fish market where you select the food you want (Seafood and vegetables), they clean it for you and they steam it. They also have fried seafood options, but it's not the reason people go to this place. Check it out. It gets busy sometimes. Takes about 15 minutes to steam the food.
