Lourdes Walk-In Chenango Bridge reviews
19This place is a joke. Sat in the waiting room for over an hour with Covid, had to go to another walk in to be tested after I prob spread it all over. Will never go back and definitely switching primary care to uhs, this is one of the worst walk ins in the area. Everyone sits around and talks instead of doing their jobs.
Went to get antibiotics for an absessed tooth. Dr would not give me any because I just finished antibiotics that morning for a different issue. Told Dr that we are leaving for vacation the next day and I didn't want to have to get antibiotics in Mexico the Dr told me "if you want antibiotics that bad get them in Mexico because they give that over the counter " that comment was extremely neglectful for a dr.
️ edit to above. I called them back as asked in the response and did not receive a response seems like this is an automated message for bad reviews to make the community think they are taking care of the situation. I will be filing a complaint with the department of health to inquire why a American doctor would tell a patient to seek our medication from a country that doesn't require a prescription.
Went to the walk in and waited over a frigging hour in the exam room to see a doctor so I can go back to work! I could hear the staff joking around outside of the exam room.getting really disgusted with medical doctors and hospitals lately.
To clarify, Lourde's has ALWAYS exceeded My expectations, most notably Lourde's Podiatry. My ordeal began @ 725 pm, after I called 3 times with no response. I ventured out expecting the best but in the course of waiting 20 minutes in line I decided to read the reviews. They all say the same thing and are accurate. In my opinion, it begins with the office staff. Please, save you're time and go to Lourde's ER!
I would give 0 stars if I could. I wouldn't bring anyone here ever again. Came in with husband and I both sick, both having coughing and phlegm coming up the stupid idiot girl that saw me told me it was viral bronchitis, just listening to my lungs, I explain that my mother is 90 and I dint want her getting sick, she tells me that we'll she is 90 if she gets it she gets it. So unprofessional and they take my husband in after me and then she doesn't tell me where he is! This place isn't fit for anyone trying to get help with getting better. That idiot that saw me knows nothing.waste of my time coming here. NEVER AGAIN!
An hour wait after appointment time is unacceptable, especially when the appointment is made well in advance. This facility has gone down hill since opening.
Went for sinus, chest congestion, sore throat and low grade fever after 6 days of dealing with it. Doctor came in for 2 seconds, look in ears and listened to chest, gave strep test, said it is a virus unless strep comes back positive. 1.5 later I walked out with no results. Will never go back. I will stick with UHS. Thanks
Usually ny experience here is usually quite pleasant, but this last experience was awful! I tested positive for covid and I went to get the medicine to treat it (which they hold). My aunt, who I got it from, when the previous day and was able to get it without a doctors prescription. But they said that I couldnt do that for some odd reason. They entire situation was distressing, knowing they could have helped and that they werent. Then they proceeded to tell my mother that they did not turn anyone away, after I had just been turned away.
The whole thing was a mess and left me very upset.
I I could give zero stars for the way that I was treated by the front desk staff, I would. Not impressed with her.choice of words, tone of voice or the way she decided to yell at me.
This particular person needs further training in customer service and patient patience.
Great experience, rx prescribed for an infection, was told I would get a call about lab results. Got a call, message left to call back to get lab results. Called back, multiple times, no answer, went in to get the results since I couldn't get through, phone just rang and rang. I was told at the window, quite nastily that the phone wasn't being answered since the employee had a long line and was the only employee at the front desk. The employee proceeded to give me my results at the front window, did not call a medical assistant or other medical professional to give the results to me, so right at the window the line behind me got to hear my results and same employee told me I did not need to continue my rx. Unprofessional and rude to boot, very disappointing after a great first visit. I sympathize as I do the very same job at another office in Broome County, I'm sorry you have to work on a Sunday, alone, but take that up with your employer not a patient.
Dr Rosie was excellent, Nurse Donna was also. I would differently recommend this walk-in very highly. Went back 9-20-23
Because my puncture wound was red and oozing. The nurse practitioner that I got was terrible. She asked me what I wanted her to do. I said I came here for you to tell me what to do. She didn't even tell me what I should do. She said if it gets worst call.
Just wanted to make this none and I will not take My wife to Lourdes ever again because they do not read the patients charts or look anything up. My Wife also told them she's allergic to adhesives and they put a liquid adhesive glue on her finger saying it would be ok because it was medical glue. I'm sorry I'm not a doctor, but when a patient says their allergic to something you shouldn't use it. Also my wife has chrons and was given an antibiotic that is known to thin blood. The doctor was told my wife is on blood thinners and she prescribed the antibiotics anyway without looking it up. She never came back to finish the wrapping or anything. She walked out of the room and didn't return she made someone else finish her job.
I don't understand how a medical facility could be so completely incompetent and still stay open. The wait times are unreasonable and the care is so below quality. Not only is it clear that they are understaffed but they also hire individuals that clearly do not actually care about their patients. You would be better off going literally anywhere else.
Had my daughter to the walkin on Sunday, April 30th 2023 they did nothing for her and she is still coughing her head off and they did a rapid strep throat test claimed it was negative but said they were sending it out for a culture and I still haven't received the results and it's been over 24 hrs since she was there. I have tried to call to get the results and no one answers the phone like always. I wish the Uhs walk in in Chenango Bridge was back open.
Took my fiancé here to get looked at and they didn’t even listen to him or us with what was wrong. Had a fever for a few days but they were concerned about his throat. They tested for things that weren’t even wrong and didn’t give him the proper time off from work to feel better. I 100% don’t recommend coming her they don’t listen to you and what is wrong with you.
Horrible. Didn’t get tested or ANYTHING dr was in my room for 2 minutes and told me I have bronchitis because I’m a smoker. No test or nothing. Turns out it’s pneumonia. HORRIBLE DO NOT TRUST THEM.
Blood work today. In and out in under 10 minutes. Already received my results through Lourdes Patient Portal. Highly recommend lab and pharmacy at this easily accessible medical facility!
Hour wait in waiting room.now a hour in a room to still not see anyone.
Lourdes maybe back in the 50's you WERE a good health care provider. NOT ANYMORE.maybe less money on building's and social profiling and spend it on your workers since they are the ones keeping your business afloat.
So glad I switched providers years ago.to UHS.
Want quicker service go elsewere.
Went to the walk-in for literally just strep to get on an antibiotic, to be sent home, and told to gargle salt water with zero antibiotics. All to end up in the ER two days later with an IV and finally some medicine. I did end up receiving a follow up call, confirming the strep, but they don’t prescribe medicine for it, (mind you since when does anybody not prescribe an antibiotic for strep?) and to call back if I don’t start to feel better. Literally just don’t waste your time there, better off at the ER.
