Honestly- if you don't get the 25$/MO deal, I just don't feel it's worth it. Don't get me wrong- the place is always super clean and orderly, they have a cute Lil sauna (closed for covid btw) ; the manager is awesome- And the biggest and best advantage is women only. No stinky creepy testosterony men around staring at you workout. But 45$ is just way too much for a gym membership, and they're not even 24hrs.

For my 25 a month though, i love it. Wish it was closer to home

Was a member 30 years ago when it was good and people have manners but it has since turned into an ladies only club.

Good gym but not great. Gym is old Bd it shows. Not kept up and staff is more concerned about making constant announcements than dirty bathrooms and no paper. Too many fees on top of monthly fee.

The ladies who work there are super nice and the place is pretty clean compared to other gyms I’ve been a part of.

The bathrooms are always dirty, and the employees are not sympathetic at all. The AC always seems to break in the summer, but they still allow classes to happen in an unconditioned room.

Dropped in for a tour today and the place seems very Covid friendly- very clean place, everyone wears masks, the machines are properly spaced out, hand sanitizing stations, and the front desk worker seems very friendly. I got my first month waived as per their new years discount. Excited to be losing new quarantine weight.

Horrible to cancel, heard this from multiple people while I was at the gym and I should have listened before I decided to stay on with them last year. The old manager gave misinformation, the new manager has an entitled attitude and is not compassionate to people who are dealing with the aftermath of COVID 19. As long as they are getting the money they want and need from those who don't have it they don't care. If you tell them you will pay the cancellation fee in cash, because I don't have a card to put it on nor do I have extra cash to even pay but I just want this done, the front desk person said they will not accept it and my account will just stay open perpetually collecting a debt on an account for no reason. It's disgraceful greed and attitudes like this that had the New York Sports Club and its affiliated gyms in the news for the fees they were collecting during Covid 19 shut down.

Back in March, when the governor shut down the gym, I wrote emails to the previous general manager at LR FH, TSI here to help email, as well as electronic requests through their website for cancellation. Of course my email was not replied. I also sent a written request, which was also ignored.

So when I saw the monthly fee charge in April, I disputed with my bank. I have not heard from the gym, so I thought my request was processed.how naive was I.

I was not aware of the gym reopening since September, no communication whatsoever till November. Suddenly, I start to get TEXT, EMAIL and PHONE CALLs about past dues. Now I'm puzzled. Why wasn't my request processed?

So I sent another CERTIFIED MAIL to the new general manager Liliana Charria to request membership cancellation. I also attached my previous requests. Of course, I did not get any replies. During this time, there were THREE attempted credit card charges by LR FH during the two weeks period.

Not getting any response, and also getting tired of disputing charges, I called my bank to request a new card with new numbers one morning. Interestingly, that evening, I finally got a CALL and EMAIL from LR FH saying my request will be processed. Coincidence? I think NOT!

Oh wait, your request cannot be processed because you need to update your new card info with us first! So you can pay the cancellation fees, and 45 days extra monthly dues!

I kindly replied to Liliana's email to remind her, according to the New York attorney general's court filing, there's a Temporary Restraining Order (TSO) against Town Sports International (TSI), NYSC, and Lucille Roberts. The TSO states that: TSI is hereby temporarily restrained from charging, or attempting to charge, any dues, fines, or penalties to members in New York who have submitted cancellation requests since March 16,2020. The TRO shall remain in full force and effect until the new hearing on January 15,2021.

Of course, my email is once again unanswered.

All of the correspondence has been submitted to NY AG's consumer Frauds Bureau.

Terrible place, sent in multiple cancel requests since March, manager would not process it, and still keeps on charging me after I sent in certified mail cancel request.

Best gym ever wide peaceful and very great staff but i wish they open soon i miss my gym thats my happy place please guys open soon miss

This is the worst Gym ever stay away from it. They give you a problem for everything I am trying to cancel my monthly payments, I don't even have a contract and they don't want to help me in any way. I moved out of NY and the only way to go cancel my subscription is in person. RIP OFF

It's the worst service I've had in customer service except Yesenia, the other people are terrible, they never smile, they do not answer the questions that are asked. They are very unfulfilled with the group classes and do not give notice of cancellation. No one gives an instruction on how to use the machines and there are very few instructors who really look like professionals.very bad service I would not recommend it to anyone, I used it for a bit than a month but it’s enough

The manager has ZERO customer service experience. She was very snobby and acted as if she was being inconvenienced. My fitnesss needs/questions were not statisfied. I would not recommend this gym to anyone.

Left my EXPENSIVE jacket, called right away asked a FRONT DESK EMPLOYEE to hold it they said okay. Next day I went to claim it they said they put it in lost and found and someone stole it. IT WASNT SUPPOSED TO BE PUT IN THE LOST AND FOUND BECAUSE I CLAIMED IT BEGORE ANYTHING HAPPENED. ONE OF THE FRONT DESK STOLE IT AND THEY THINK I FORGOT ABOUT IT BUT I DIDNT.

A nice gym. Its clean and I always get the machine I want. The managment is sales driven only. Seems like they are always pushing sales for "today only".

Be careful with the membership and the one day free trial. They might trick you with doubled membership numbers and mode it impossible to cancel.

I had a membership with Lucille. I cancelled the membership paid all final fees that was due. I was told that I do not owe anything anymore. The workers there never cancelled my membership. Now Lucille was bought over by Town Sports International and they sent me a collection letter. So because Lucille did not do their job and never updated their records now TSI have wrong records and wants money. So guess what I will see them in small claims cause I have my records to back it up!

Total rip off just because it's a women's gym and they have a tiny cute lil sauna. Credit must be given where it's due though, and they are super clean and super orderly. The manager is awesome and she gave me a whole box of protein powders FOR FREE! Love it

If I can give their customer service zero stars I would in a heartbeat. They keep charging my card even after I canceled. Reimbursed me back and then charge me again. The stuff in there is very unprofessional, don’t know what they’re doing constantly have to call someone else to figure out what’s going on there just not properly traine.
