I've had an amazing experience at Lumen Pilates Studio since they opened almost for 5 years! The instructors are not only highly skilled but also incredibly supportive. The studio ambiance is calming, creating the perfect environment for a revitalizing Pilates session. The variety of classes offered caters to all fitness levels, making it accessible for beginners and challenging for those seeking an advanced workout. The attention to individual needs and the personalized guidance from the instructors sets Lumen Pilates Studio apart. I've seen significant improvements in my strength and flexibility since joining, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Wanted to share my experience with the Lumen team in Brooklyn. Focused, attentive and fun is what this Lumen offers.

In addition to group classes, they also offer a mix of privates and semi-private classes.

If you are newer to Pilates, a few privates is a great way to get a better feel for the practice (and equipment).

You’ll also find that while many might consider it a great core builder for women - it’s a great workout for men as well.

The only reason Id even give this place a star is because of Irina, shes a good trainer. Thats the ONLY reason I kept coming here. Everything else about this place, including the owner Kseniya is an ongoing disaster. Starting from a filthy, gross, smelly bathroom, that they "demand" you wear socks to go to, training a whole summer with a broken AC, a clique-like "social club" atmosphere, where you have people (up to 2-4 at a time) talking about anything and everything during a "pilates mind/body" class, and the owner doesn't care. It can easily become a hostile environment, because it is Disruptive to having a meaningful focused workout,
and once again, having cameras there, the owner doesnt care to address the issue (or any other issues). She simply doesnt give a sht about anything that goes on there.
The last "straw" was her trying to scam me for a holiday "promo". She refused to accommodate an ongoing promo that she charged me for 20 classes, refused to refund my $, and I had to dispute the charges w my Amex cc. Eventually, she was "forced" by Amex to refund my $. Zero appreciation and professionalism for clients (and trainers) who have been loyal w the studio for an extended period of time. Good trainers leave, loyal clients leave bc there are 3 other pilates studios in the same vicinity.
The owner Kseniya is often dismissive of ANY concern that a client may have, she refuses to pick up/text back in a Timely professional manner, inaccessible, and simply has a "whatever" attitude towards clients. Don't waste your $$ here. Much better options: Lux Pilates & Ira Pilates.

Irena is the queen of pilates and deserves all the stars!
The owner is unprofessional for putting a camera in front of my face and taking a picture without my consent while talking to me. After the loud picture sound effect she told that those are the rules and she must take it. Excuse me at least tell me about it? I would be more than happy to take a picture if I was told about it before the fact not after. I found it rude and unprofessional! I am glad I terminated my monthly membership for other reasons and won't be back. No apology.

Love this studio. I love their philosophy. Very professional trainers, you will not be left without attention, a very individual approach.they do not just train, they teach to understand and feel your body.it is very valuable.

And what is good there are only 8 of reformers so instructor is able to pay attention to each person in class.

Wow, my friend took me to the class and now I am there 3 times a week religiously. Love the flow and workout routine, not easy, very challenging, lots of core workouts. Which I love it and I have spine aches, but now it’s gone
Def would recommend Pilates for ppl with back pain and just great workout
