Lupo's Char-Pit, Endicott NY

First off the cashier was very friendly. I would like to start off saying the fries and the spiedie nuggets weren't bad. As far as the spiedie chicken sub, it was ok. It was our first visit so maybe adding some extra sauce would have been better because it was a little dry. I also ordered a pizza burger which wasn't too bad as well.

I was so looking forward to a chicken spiedie sub. I wasn't impressed. I ate one bite. Nothing like I remembered it.

Called to see if they would be open on July 4th. They were not. But one of our favorites. It is take out, so no atmosphere. In good weather they have a few tables outside. They have the best spiedies, I think they have other things, but we always get the spiedies. They take cash only, something to keep in mind if going there. Parking is adequate, people aren't there long as mainly take out.

The workers at the front counter are not very personable and seemed only concerned about business. It would be nice if they could take a moment to smile and welcome the customers. The place is old, dirty, and needs major renovation inside and out. The waiting area is hot and needs air conditioning. The outside area needs to be cleaned and beautified. Maybe some flowers and paint would help.
7/27/ 2023, Today, I went back, and the Asian girl that works there was not friendly and threw the bag of fries on the counter towards me. OMG! Such bad manners! I mean really! Why I never in all my life had a service worker treat a customer in that manner. I will not go back no matter how good the food is! I am going to spread the word of how rude the workers are here. I was insulted.

The food here is just real. If you order a burger, for example, it tastes like you made it on your own grill, using basic ingredients. A burger and french fry meal from here is better than most of the places in the region. It is so hard to find real food anymore, and Lupo's stops the trend of using increasingly lower quality ingredients. They have been outstanding for decades.

Spiedies are the best and cheapest around for a 6 or 12" sub. The spiedies are always tender and taste great. They fill the rolls up and don't skimp on the serving. Service is always fast even when busy and staff is friendly. You can add many different toppings to your sub if you desire. Inside can get a little crowded and parking can be a challenge at times.

Had their pork spiedie with long hots. I hate saying this but I was very disappointed, spiedie was dry even with all the marinade poured over it and only a sliver of a pepper!

This is take-out only, with a staple food to our region.mmmm.speidies! And the best ones ever! When I was there last week, a man came in and said he had just driven here (upstate NY) from Texas and had to get Lupo's speidies. People from here know there's nothing like it.if you are visiting, you HAVE to try Lupo's for their delicious speidies. So good!

Quaint walk up window type location. Our service was fast and friendly. The spiedes are top notch and on classic bread. We generally opt for the pork as they seem to match the flavor of the sauce better than the chicken. I would pass on the fried pierogis but that's not why you come here.

Have to stop everytime I come from jersey. Never disappoints. I love spedies! I get mine on salad or just in tub, no bread. You don't really need to get the spedie with cheese because you can't taste the cheese, and it melts away. Onion rings are a nice treat.

We travel 6hrs at least 2 times a year for Lupo's spiedies.they are THE BEST! The employees however. The Chef's food is worth it, but we call him Eyor (?) for a reason. And the students need better people skills.
