Lure Fishbar reviews
18Service was great, as was the atmosphere. Cocktails were strong and tasty. Oysters were top notch.
Had a wonderful date with my girlfriend, amazing service and food, little pricey but it was worth it:)
Lure Fishbar in SoHo is a hidden gem in the bustling city. The upscale fish restaurant boasts a luxurious yacht-like interior and a lively bar scene. I was impressed by the beautiful venue and the delicious variety of four different rolls we tried. The Bloody Mary Royale was a standout experience, featuring a tasty Lure Bloody Mary blend, shrimp garnish, and an oyster shooter. The combination of exquisite food and a vibrant atmosphere makes Lure Fishbar a must-visit for a memorable dining experience.
A seafood restaurant in a basement built to look like it is below deck of a yacht… sounds kitschy, but is trendy. The excellent food, quality cocktails, high ceilings, and impeccable service all come together to create a positive dining experience. Noel was our server; she, and the rest of the waitstaff, left no detail unnoticed at our table. I recommend the branzino, sweet potato ravioli, and chicory salad.
If I were to give any constructive feedback, it would be to winterize the front door with a little hut or install a revolving door. There was a carpet at the front door that the front door routinely got caught on. It is 20° tonight, so the entire restaurant got very cold several times throughout the dinner when the front door did not properly close.
Advice: request a table far away from the front door.
My wife and I met for our first date at Lure 12 years ago. After a wedding, living abroad and two children, we returned last night to celebrate my wife’s 40th. The atmosphere was still romantic and fun, the food was top notch and the service was excellent. We will be back.
Always a fun time, great service, good food.
Unfortunately, I was given lessons by Jason the bartender. I asked for a dry gin martini and it did not have vermouth. I pointed it out to Jason and he proceeded to tell me that if I ever order one again I should learn it only has gin. He then told me he’s a 42 year old and a bartender. I hope Jason learns that the recipe has vermouth. The attitude and lack of knowledge make for a sour experience.
Be aware that they won't seat you without the entire party. It saved me (and cost them) $30 by not ordering a pre-dinner cocktail.
Lure Fish Bar made our anniversary an absolute treat. The black bass was particularly really great. Amazing food and service, would recommend to everyone!
This place was absolutely amazing we celebrated my daughter's 30th birthday the food drinks service and atmosphere was top notch if you haven't been you have to try it
We were treated like royalty while it was very busy. I was very impressed. Sommelier came to our table to make recommendations just because he saw me glancing at the wine list. They anticipated our every need. The Waitress knew menu well and helped me decide. My boyfriend had the red snapper and I had the ribeye. Ribeye was so juicy and well seasoned, even do I was full, I finished it. Will be back
The seafood options are solid but don’t sleep on their steak dishes. Great vibe, good music, and lightning
The best sushi I’ve ever had, hands down. Love their appetizers and friendly staff. I don’t eat seafood so I typically get the bash burger as my main course and it’s always delicious.
Went to Lure Fishbar last night, my wife had the shellfish plateaux and I had a few lobster rolls. Today she woke up with cramps, nausea and upset stomach. I m pretty sure she got food poisoning, those clams tasted really bad and the shrimp were still half frozen.
On top of it one of the waiters spilled blue cheese sauce on my wife’s jacket, he then barely wiped it off but nothing was taken off the bill, I would expected at least the two drinks we had.
I wouldn’t suggest anyone to spend their money at this establishment and they ll never see me again
Love this restaurant, we always visit when we are in NYC. The food is very good, the service is excellent and we like the way it feels. Great seafood, great wine list.
My favorite place in Soho, NYC! The food is always excellent, their licci martini is the best!
Great vibe, good service, okay food. Oysters were pretty good though. I would come back for the bar, not a table.
The fish was succulent
The sushi was less so.
The servers are nice but a little lost.
Love going to Lure, food is always great and cool atmosphere. You typically have to wait for your table in the bar which is a whole scene in itself. Definitely on the pricey side but fun nonetheless. Their crispy rice is some of my favorite.
