Mac's Drive-In, Waterloo NY

I finally got to stop here cause we’re not rushing through this time around. I think we ordered almost everything on the menu! The prices are incredibly reasonable. Richardson root beer is the best, smoothest in the world. Soft ice cream is high quality because they know minimum fat content needed.

We have been here several times. The service is always great but this time the fries were unusually cold even coming outside.

A icy cold mug of root beer along with a cheese burger, fries will make you feel nostalgic anytime. But at Mac's anything on the menu is good. And the service - friendly and welcoming. Make it a part of your summer vacation. And if you traveling through, stop and have yourself an enjoyable time. Include Mac's in your Labor Day weekend.

Nostalgic Drive In slinging classic American fare such as burgers, fries, and shakes. I ordered a cheeseburger, potato salad, and a malted chocolate shake at the counter. Everything was delicious. The way that they take and cook orders was odd to me. (servers having to cook their own orders instead of a dedicated grill/fry cook) but nonetheless the food came out hot.

A real drive-in with carhops - these are a rare breed these days, but Mac's delivers. If you don't want to sit in your car, there is plenty of seating, and staff who know what they are doing. Good food, good prices - what more do you want?

We bought some hamburger sliders. They were delicious. They have plenty of tables outside to eat at and the weather was pleasant (thankfully).

This is an old style drive in. You can actually drive up and have your food brought to your car and hang on your door. The staff was friendly, but a bit overwhelmed. You need to honk your horn to get their attention. The food is pretty cheap. The quality is ok. You are getting what you are paying for. The food was cooked well. The portions are decent size. The place is pretty old and could use some upkeep.

We absolutely love going to Mac's Drive-in when they are open the food is great prices are reasonable and there waitresses are always very polite and you hardly ever wait long for service even on yhere busiest of days.

Got a to-go order - BLT, quarter pound cheeseburger, macaroni salad and a root beer. Salad was ok. Asked for ketchup on the cheeseburger and got a handful of packets. Burger was average, nothing we'd drive by a McDonald's for. My BLT had plenty of bacon but half of it was in the bottom of the bag because the sandwich was only half-* wrapped! The menu says there are 3 slices of bread but there were only two - not sure if that's the way they do it or if it was missing that 3rd piece. The macaroni salad had a piece of paper over top and was placed Sideways in the bag. This was our first and Last experience at Mac's. Sad cause it's close to home and the prices are decent.

Classic spot right out of the movies! Great prices and delicious food. Definitely hit the spot.

The food here is excellent! I've been eating here since I was a kid. When I visit Waterloo every year, this is the second place I come to eat. You cannot the prices and the quality of the food.

Great, old time drive in joint. Fast, courtesy service and the food is fantastic. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

This place is Stellar! It's an old time drive-in and it's a joy to visit! The food isn't fancy, typical drive-in fare, but it is done to perfection. The fries are fresh-cut and great. It's been a long time since we've had fries this good. The root beer is a local brand (Richardson's) and is very good although not too carbonated. The hot dogs (red and white) are a great local brand (Hofmann's). "White Hot Dogs" are kind of like bratwurst. We also got chicken fingers and a malted. Everything was well cooked and great tasting. Anytime we are in this area, this place is a "must-go"!

I have been wanted to try this place for so many years and I finally got a chance to with my daughter. The whole experience was amazing the prices are so reasonable. Make sure you have cash because it is a cash only place but they do have a atm on the property. I got a rootbeer milkshake my daughter got a lemonade I also tried the sausage sandwich with peppers and onions. And my daughter had a plain burger and fries. I will definitely go back. I recommend this place 100 percent.

Awesome old fashioned drive in. All the usual options, burgers, subs, hot dogs, fries, milkshakes and their own old fashioned root beer. They bring the rray to your car window.very fun. As long picnics tables under some trees and indoor patio for seating. Ice creams are large for the low price!
