THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. So much to say here! Brought my parents here for their birthday dinner yesterday. We were a group of 6. First off, food was bland and definitely not authentic. Tasted like there was no effort put into making it. Then it’s CASH ONLY, which seemed a little suspect to me being that they’re a restaurant. Apparently it’s been that way for years. Nobody finds this weird? The staff were all rude, from the hostess to the bartenders. They all look like they’re forcing this phony smile that just ends up making you uncomfortable. We got our bill and it was RIDICULOUS. They charged a 20% mandatory gratuity fee, whether you enjoyed the food or not! We paid our bill so my sisters and I stood to watch the fight on TV. This was the worst part. THE DRINKS ARE WATERED DOWN! There’s no MAYBE. They are 100% watered down. I had 7 shots of top shelf tequila plus 5 margaritas. Usually 2 shots and I’m on the floor but I felt NOTHING. I confronted the manager about this, who refused to tell me his real name and said to call him Freeze. Then he offered me free shots… why would I want free shots of watered down liquor? He then laughed and shrugged his shoulders. NEVER AGAIN would I go here. Spent over $500 and went home sober and dissatisfied and feeling CHEATED. They should be investigated immediately.

The picture attached is just one of the rounds of drinks we bought.

The first dining experience was fantastic. My wife's friend had a birthday party, and the food was on-point!

However, our second experience was a disaster. We had a family gathering, and the staff attempted to serve our party "refried" food twice, which added insult to injury, especially after informing the staff that the food was not fresh and "drenched" in cooking oil.

I do not recommend "Made In Puerto Rico" to no one, especially my close friends and family.

Food was excellent, and service was professional and kind. The only issue we had was that the music was very loud for a dinner service time. I understand the lounge vibe they want to keep however it may benefit them to keep the volume down a bit until an after dinner time around 9pm and weekends. All else was a great experience; my family and I had a great time.

Ambiance was decent, music was mediocre. Drinks were watered down significantly! My party spent well over $500 on food and drinks and we might as well have drank water with the watered down alcohol.
It’s unfortunate because I was looking forward to this place but it’s definitely not worth it. The prices are extremely high! Do not recommend!

Went to this place for a different taste. Have so many places to chose from on East Tremont and I'd never been to this one. The place is nice but really seems to be more geared to providing a friendly bar feel than a serious restaurant. Montados were luke warm, tostones seemed to have been made earlier and meats heated them up. The steak encebollado was fatty. The gandules in the arroz con gandules were overcooked (too soft) and luke warm. The arroz con pollo although a very large serving had been made a day or so prior. The chicken had that day or two old flavor. The drinks (Coconut mojitos) were inconsistent flavor wise. I was going to blame all of this on the fact that I went on a Monday, but to be honest it shouldn't matter what day you go to a restaurant, if it's good it should be good every day of the week.

I love this restaurant. Drinks and atmosphere are great. I wish you could open up a restaurant at Bayonne NJ.

Always the spot to go for a good drink and great music, but the drinks are also original and well made.

Omg. The food in this place is so good. My husband and I went for brunch. $40 per person for shared appetizers, one entrée and unlimited mimosa or sangria. Those mimosas was hitting it. Definitely left they tipsy. We surly be back to try their pork chops with rice and beans

I never ever heard of a "Trifongo" and I must say, this was so delicious. If you have a sweet tooth for maduros, this will absolutely satisfy you, along with that Pina Colada! Mmm-Mmmm

Nice restaurant. Great music. Service is really good. The food tastes great. Note that they automatically add 20% tip to all checks. They have indoor and outdoor dining. Outdoor is covered. They have a nice bar. Everyone is friendly.
