I enjoyed my stay at Madison LES hotel. Also, I would like to thank them for their understanding and help since I missed the original reservation dates and they allow me to change the dates despite the fact that the reservation was nonrefundable.

My experience with this hotel is as an employee rather than a guest. Benny, my employer and owner of this hotel participated in an illegal defamation of character situation which caused me to lose my job and force me into homelessness. These people are disgusting and two-faced who enjoy destroying people's lives for money. They should have reported the incident to authorities but instead they took a bribe and had me unlawfully fired. I do not recommend ever staying in this place because the character of those people is been clearly defined. There are plenty of other hotels in the lower East side that are more worth your time and patronage.

What a great find of a hotel. Absolutely love this place. It’s not super fancy, but it’s cozy and clean. The rooms just have everything you need, not a whole lot of space. My room was clean and warm. Breakfast is simple of cereal, juice, breads, and a few fruits. They always have coffee in the lobby and little snacks and drinks you can buy for a fair price. They even hold your bags for you if you arrive early and cannot check in yet. Great area too. Walkable to many places in the LES and Chinatown. I check out today and had a lovely stay these past couple nights.

The housekeeping and staff were pleasant, but the pictures online are way more homey and clean than our room was. Both of our beds looked used and abused, discolored sheets, stains, towels had yellow marks on them. Normally wouldn’t leave a bad review but $400 for a two night stay in an uncomfortable room isn’t worth it

Affordable safe place to spend the night. Bed was comfy, room not big but good enough for the price paid. Staff very friendly and overall very clean. Also had cable t.v, which was a big plus. They offer breakfast but I checked out before that. No fridge/microwave, like I said great place to spend the night.

The only positive thing was the location because it is close to the metro, for the rest of the rooms and the fact that the metro passes every two or three, it is not recommended!

We stayed at the hotel for 3 people, they gave us a room that was really for 2, the rooms do not have a closet to store clothes, it is 4 minutes from the metro stop, the area is very quiet and the staff is quite friendly, The bed sheets were not changed all week.

The location of the hotel is very good, one block from the subway.
We read that the rooms were very noisy and it is not like that at all, it has double glass so it is soundproof. It is true that it is very small but it lacks nothing and it is very very clean, both the towels and the bedding have no smell and they also clean it daily.
The breakfast is very complete, coffee, juice, yogurt, fruits, breads, etc.and they replenish it constantly.
The attention of all the staff is pleasant, I will definitely return to this hotel that has a beautiful terrace with spectacular views, don't miss it!

I planned on doing a lot of activities all over Manhattan so I chose this hotel based on price and subway access primarily. It exceeded my expectations because the neighborhood is nice and we had a quick subway ride anywhere we wanted to go. The room was nice and the staff was excellent.

As a solo traveller, the rooms are great. (amenities: Wi-Fi, AC/Heat, TV etc) Beautiful views and location

For its price, it’s great. Breakfast is simple, and personally a fan of the small minimalist rooms, but doublecheck your blankets and bedsheets for any stains. Nonetheless, personally think it is a great location if you’re planning to do a small, cheap escapade around NYC.

Terrible hotel. Gave us an air bed for my young son which deflated and meant he was sleeping on the floor. What makes it worse is that we were charged $80 for it despite complaining. Also lots of extra unexpected charges when you check in. Breakfast was pretty awful and Normally ran out of most items by 9am. Avoid at all costs.

We had a wonderful stay at Madison LES for the 4th of July holiday. It was myself and my 11 year old daughter. The hotel was very clean and quiet other than the occasional siren or firework. The location is on a corner at a lit up intersection and we felt safe. We were able to see fireworks from the cute rooftop and the location was very walkable to lower east side, chinatown, soho, and Broadway with endless options for food close by. The subway and bus is super close to get you over to Brooklyn or up to Times Square or anywhere. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was awesome and we really enjoyed coming back to the hotel to relax and cool off after walking around in the heat all day. Additionally, we arrived in NYC much earlier than anticipated and the hotel was so accomadating by holding our luggage and letting us check in much earlier than the check-in time. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to NYC.

Located in Chinatown. I got the impression that there are many naughty young people around the hotel, probably because there is a park nearby where you can skateboard. It's an area with many immigrants, so I was able to get used to it, even though I'm Japanese. It was a good deal to be able to buy a 500ml bottle of water for $1. The staff at the front desk were very helpful in speaking easy-to-understand English. We recommend that you check the nearest station before using it.

This is a very good, clean hotel for NYC money. If you are not familiar with the city, or it's your first visit it might not be the best choice. I have lived here before, so I was familiar and knew what to expect. Rooms are small but for one person, are just fine. There are other rooms with two beds which might be bigger. Checking in at the peak check-in time took awhile as there is one concierge at the front desk. Hotel and rooms are in a conservative modern decor/no frills and clean. Bed was comfortable. Water was hot and good pressure. Big tv and small table with chair. Mini fridge doubles as bedside table. Room was refreshed each day. I stayed 3 nights, and then rebooked for 2 more due to the Newark/ United problems. I needed an iron one day and they brought me a steamer which was nice. Adequate toiletries were supplied and of decent nice smelling quality- even shower caps and razors. Room slippers and cloth bag in room as well. 3 wooden hangers- it would have been nice to have 2 more. Breakfast was good! Nice selection of yogurt, bagels, bread, cereal, waffles, coffee, 4 different juices and even fresh fruit. There are snacks, drinks and water always for sale in the lobby and free coffee, which was nice. One drawback could be: location is a little funky. On edge of Chinatown and right under the Manhattan bridge. Sound of train rumble wasn't bad in my opinion, and I actually found it comforting. But, it is really just a 5 minute walk to things to do on the lower east side. You are one block from the F train which can take you pretty much anywhere with connecting trains.
Another drawback could be sound volume on the floors. You can easily hear people in the hallway, so if you have partiers staying on your floor, that could be an issue. I, however did not experience that.
There is a roof deck that is accessible which is nice for fresh air. The floor of it is covered with a squishy astroturf ground cloth which felt weird to walk on. I felt like they needed one or two more tables and chairs up there too. But, it gives a great view of the lower east side.
Room furnishings had the occasional bump or scratch, but those are things I tend to notice, and not that big of a deal.
I felt safe in the area walking alone, but if it's your first solo trip to NYC, you might feel a little uneasy and you would just need to make smart choices about how late you are out and just be aware of your surroundings. The hotel is nicely lit up at night.
You don't come to NYC to sit in your room, so I found the accomodations serviceable, clean and pleasant, after a day of exploring the city.
I would stay here again.
