Magnolia Bakery - Rockefeller Center, New York NY

This is the busiest Magnolia (I’ve been to almost all of them). At 11: 30 on a Thursday there was a 15 minute line and it was very chaotic and packed.
You order anything that’s NOT pudding outside the line, and THEN get in the long line. Everyone was confused about that.
But I can’t do them dirty by giving any less than 5 stars. The pudding (esp the seasonal ones) is sooo good.
You can skip the red velvet cake. It’s pretty mid.

Very crowded on a weekday afternoon. People already lined up around the corner and most of the cakes already sold out. The banana pudding was quite sweet in taste so I just got a small one, which was more than enough.

Amazing service from the wonderful welcoming staff working 9/22/23 in the am. Came in to several good mornings. The pastries and cakes speak for themselves but to come into such a warm welcome on a Fri-Yay morning

I've not tried anything other than the banana pudding and it's safe to say it has lived up to the length of the line that I met there of 3 occasions, between the hours of 3 and 4: 30. Measly little price for a sweet craving. If you don't have much of a sweet tooth, it might not be a great deal to you. But if you have a love for banana and /or dessert or a combination of both, don't believe the hype of what you heard. My grandmother would say "the proof is in the pudding".

Just watched Lewis handle a very difficult customer for several minutes with patience and kindness. I was very impressed. Thank you for your excellent customer service!

Terrible customer service. Called ahead from the Uber to make sure they were still open at 9: 48 pm (maps said there was 7 minutes left to destination). After a $40 dollar Uber, I got there at 9: 55pm and the doors were locked. 4 employees inside sitting on the counters, made eye contact and started laughing. I called the store again, someone answered and was surprised that the doors were closed. The whole thing did not make any sense. If you’re going to close your doors at 9: 55 pm, then change your hours to that time. It was a simple transaction that would have probably taken 30 seconds.

Check your receipt carefully. Today was my first (and last) visit to Magnolia Bakery. Didn’t realize till I got home that they overcharged me by quite a bit. Lesson learned for me. I won’t be a customer anymore.

Breakfast in New York and I have to say it exceeded expectations. Fabulous light cup cakes not too sweet, you would eat more. Young and very kind staff

One of the best bakery in New York. They are also known for their famous banana pudding. Everything was fresh and delicious.

Banana pudding - amazing! Very tasty and sweet. I recommend the small one, the rest is already really heavy

Came here after dinner for a post dinner dessert, even tho we had dessert already. We can’t pass up on magnolia! We got the classic banana pudding and the seasonal pumpkin spice one. The small is perfect for sharing with 2 people, anymore than that it is too much. The banana pudding is so good, creamy, flavorful and not too sweet. The pumpkin spice tastes sweeter but it was also very good.

A large selection of cheesecakes. But the best thing is the banana pudding. There are different sizes. Very tasty and unique.

It's a must visit place in New York, but frankly they should stick to their banana pudding.
We tried their Red Velvet, a total disappointment: the cake is dry with butter cream instead of cream cheese as in real Red Velvet.
The cookies were Also dry and tasteless, you can have better cookies for half the price!

Got the banana pudding and it was delicious as advertised. Although there was more than a 20 minute wait and in a very small cramped up space but I guess it’s worth a try!

Cake is not my jam, but we stopped by to get a cake for my M-I-L and it turned out great. We didn't get a large cake because she wanted to get all the cakes. So, instead we opted for slices. The slices are HUGE. You don't really need a whole cake unless you're really having a party and even when you have a party the cake will yield a lot of pieces.

The cupcakes, the icebox cake, and the cake slices were great.
Chocolate, Red Velvet and Carrot. My favorite was the red velvet, but she liked them all.

Be mindful, this is a popular spot and it get crowded quick.
