If you are looking for that old time classic bar, this the place. Welcoming team, fair prices and amazing cocktails. And the music just hits the spot.
Also if you want to try absinthe or are already a connaisseur, you must come here and try one from their large selection.

The good:
This must be one of the best or the best cocktail bar in NYC. The atmosphere is calm, not noisy, kind staff, excellent service.
The drinks are well balanced, good ingredients, and there are several and great choices. You can get a Martini like 1950 style, very strong with interesting flavor. It is prepared in front of you by a specialist.
They have a seafood money and the fluke dish is great.
The bad:
The seaweed butter with bread I do not recommend for those light in stomach. Some bar tenders use mask and other don't. Bathroom not so clean.

Overall, this is by far my favorite cocktail place and it worth the price.

What an incredible bar. Oysters, Absinthe, and an old-fashioned decor make this place unique and original. Kevin served us alongside a charming bartender with a table-side Sazerac service (Kevin got quite a workout holding all the materials). He left great recommendations and the drinks were exquisite. I've been before and gotten oysters which were delicious, but we stayed with drinks this time. This is my favorite place to bring cocktail lovers!

We popped in for just a couple of drinks before heading out to dinner.

Super happy to see Maison Premiere reopen! Still serving the same classic menu. The same great oysters and cocktails as they have always been. Still the beautiful spot for hanging out and just have a good time.

Very delicious cocktails and high level of service. A bit slow but worth it. Oyster bar in the back is a cool spot if you can get it.

Can't believe I have only now "discovered" Maison. Went with friends Thursday night, and will be back soon. A traditional Bedford Avenue facade opens into a classic foyer with an immense and elegant period Absinthe Bar, hinting that we were clearly in for a treat! The rear dining room is high ceilinged yet cosy with fireplace, small tables and banquettes, and tall french doors opening into the lush back garden.
Staff was friendly and welcoming, attentive, with patient info and advice. A generous raw bar is offered, impeccably fresh and beautifully prepared. I have totally rediscovered fresh raw shellfish - they were amazing, and perfectly paired with an amazing Cava.
Could be in NYLA, could be Paris, but it is definitely 1st class Williamsburg!

Love the vibe of this place. Lots of choice for oysters and good service. We ordered a dozen (6 types) of oysters and we received the wrong one for one of them. I didnt bother bringing it up since I didn't want to make a fuss over 2 oysters. The server later somehow realized we got the wrong type and brought us 2 extra oysters without me saying anything!

Incredible cocktails and great oysters. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Can't wait to come back.

My wife and I recently visited MP after they reopened in June 2021. While waiting for the restaurant to open for happy hour we had the good fortune to meet Will Elliott, one of the owners. Will gave us his suggestions on the best seats at the bar and then instructed the hostess to seat us. We were then surprised with a complimentary glass of champagne to go with the HH oysters we had come for. Everything was perfect form the oysters to the specialty cocktails to the impeccable service. We are from San Diego but will make it a point to visit MP (and Will) on subsequent trips to Brooklyn. Our favorite HH in Brooklyn.

So glad this has reopened! This has been our go-to anniversary spot for years. The oysters are so fresh and their recommendations are always amazing. Great service, great food and a great atmosphere

I visited Maison Premiere a few weeks ago with my partner and had an amazing time! The hostess was incredibly sweet and personable. There was a bit of a wait, but nothing too bad. We sat at the bar and got to watch the bartenders work their magic. They were fun to talk to and even made me a custom drink because I had a particular combo in mind. We had the oysters and shrimp and loved them! The bar area was cozy, but there is restaurant seating in the back room and a gorgeous patio. I felt like I was in a bar in the French Quarter! I absolutely loved this restaurant, and I highly recommend going if you are in the Williamsburg area!

After this establishment closed their doors for over 1 year due to the pandemic, my boyfriend & I were eager to be welcomed for our fourth time. We of course ordered the chef’s choice of oysters, followed by a few shrimps (they were fresh!) He had the absinthe and I stuck with gin cocktails. The bartenders even helped pick our next rounds of drinks by finding what ingredients we liked best in the first. The atmosphere takes you back to the 20’s, the dim lit interior & of course the classical instrumental music. We had a ball and can’t wait to come back. FYI - they are following the CDC guidelines & checking vaccination cards, so make sure you are vaxxed:)

I had the most lovely time at Maison Premiere. The staff was incredibly accommodating and made me feel instantly at home, the atmosphere was cozy, yet sexy, and my martini was bright and flavorful. They also have a wide selection of oysters, so you'll be able to find one you like no matter your pallet. Tip: go for the happy hour for a great oyster deal.
