Walked in here after a stroll through the park. Very cool and comfortable after a hot summer walk. Billy the owner was so friendly and gave me the recipe to his mother’s escarole tortellini soup (only because I am not a local). Also recommend a place for dinner near our hotel in the flower district. Great time and hope we can come back!

Great unpretentious neighborhood bar, beer and drinks at a reasonable price and the food is pretty good also. Highly recommend.

I wanted to love this place when I walked it. I love dive bars and Irish bars and this seemed a little of both. Overcharged me like crazy for food and drinks that wasn't even very good. The menu prices have definitely changed from what was posted on here. And a small basic mixed drink was $13! Won't be coming back.

The bartender cut off the TouchTunes after I paid for a playlist. If u you oh don’t want paying customers playing songs on the playlist, then don’t offer it.

This place is absolutely phenomenal. Normally I like to leave long and detailed reviews but instead, I'll just give you this very true story.

At the end of our meal when the server asked my fiance and I "how was everything, " we simultaneously responded, "amazing. "

The server actually hesitated after that because I think my fiance both responded as if we had never eaten food before. But then he said, "OK, good. "

Obviously my fiance and I are not complete weirdos and we did not rehearse a simultaneous "amazing. " We just both felt the exact same way when that questions was asked, and somehow for whatever reason did not feel inclined to give the generic "good" like we do at basically every other place we have ever gone to ever.

So take that for what it's worth.

This place is so friendly and the food is so delicious that it’s an absolute must! Great outdoor dining available!

This spot is excellent! Reasonable pricing, considerable dishes and the employees are regularly nice.

Bartenders are friendly and great, and the vibe is amazing. Very cozy and is perfect for a solo visit, with a friend, for a casual date, or with a group

Cozy longtime neighborhood bar with a terrific burger, an incredible Shepard's pie and warm and friendly staff.

The staff is super friendly, and their drink prices are great. It is nice and dark inside, but not too dark. T.v. 's, dart boards, internet jukebox, and the crowd is a good mix in age, so there is something here for everyone. There is plenty of food spots in the same parking lot, and a smoke shop if you are a smoker.

Some of my closest friends invited me there and if it's good enough for them it's certainly good enough for me. Small quaint local Irish pub as advertised and I felt very comfortable there. And Laura serves the best cup of coffee on a cold winter's day.

Unpretentious. Cold beers and steaming hot french fries fried in clean fresh oil. Not many "divy" bars can claim having fried french fries in fresh clean oil. I honestly would go back just for the fries which are actually potato wedges!

Great pub with friendly workers and great people. Felt very welcome either with my girlfriend. Food was good. Fish and chips were tasty. Fish was fresh and fried nicely. My partner had the burger which she enjoyed as well. I reccomend it for the food, drinks, and atmosphere.

Service was slow, but very friendly. If you are looking for more traditional irish fare, this is not the place.

Prices were pretty good but the service was not. After our initial round we waited 20 mins for our waitress to order another but we couldn’t find her. Eventually we decided to get the bill and leave. Also the goose island IPA was slightly skunked, unfortunately our waitress never came around to check.

It was quite buzy when we walked in. We waited for a table anyway. Order was put in while we were at the bar. When a table was free we sat down, and the food came out not to soon after. I ordered a burger that came with fries and a pickle. My rating comes from the fact that the bread was moldy and when I told the host, I was offered something to replace.and then never got it. My group waited 10 mins for me (after I asked) and it never came.

Because I like dive bars. And these folks are real cool in a neighborhood that can often feel less than welcoming.

Last great dive bar on the UWS. Never change and I'll always show. Those with a weak constitution go elsewhere
