Malta Medical Care, Ballston Spa NY

Michelle Ryan is the absolute best nurse practitioner. She listens to her patients, she finds solutions and truly cares about her patients. I have really bad anxiety and I always look forward to see Michelle and especially her dog during my appointments. She’s the second best caregiver. The rest of the staff is as amazing as well. I’m so fortunate to find this medical office.

Malta Medical is one of the best Primary Care practices in the area. I have bounced around to a couple of different offices, and the level of compassion and care here isn’t comparable to any other experience i have had. I see Katie, the Nurse Practitioner, who takes ample time to sit, talk and review any concerns I have. Their office staff is so sweet, they really care about you from when you walk into the office until you leave. If you want a Primary Care doctor and team to treat you like you are their own family-this is it. Doctors aren’t always fun, but Malta Medical really helps ease the anxiety. 10/10 recommend!

I recently moved back to the capital region after living in NYC for 6 years and needed a new primary care doctor. After a lot of research and positive referrals, I chose Malta Medical Care. Honestly, I haven't been so well cared for in years and couldn't be happier with my experience. I did see some negative reviews and was shocked - based on my experience, I can only assume some of the negative reviewers are confusing Malta Medical Care with another office with a similar name (there are many in Malta). Tl;dr - Great office, friendly staff and very caring, knowledgeable doctors!

Professional, compassionate care, for all my health concerns. I personally see Katie who is a Nurse Practitioner. She is very personable and helped me decide the right care path for myself that doesn’t always have to involve prescription medication. She explained each option thoroughly and addressed my concerns properly. I am very happy with my experience at this practice from the friendly office staff to the caring nurses and dedicated doctor. They also provide strict pandemic guidelines and offer telemedicine visits which I love to take advantage of. I would recommend Malta Medical Care to anyone looking for a great locally owned primary care.

The care provided at Malta Medical is amazing! The staff were extremely professional, compassionate and knowledgable. I had a sinus infection and was seen, diagnosed and treated in a very efficient manner. The provider spent alot of time with me, despite the circumstances with the current pandemic. I will definitely go back to be treated there in the future!

Excellent practice. The front office staff is warm and professional and the clinical staff really cares about their patients. It's refreshing to have a provider take their time and really listen to you. My appointments never feel rushed. 10/10 would recommend.

I have been coming to this practice since moving back to the area in 2011. The staff is friendly and helpful whenever I call. Dr. Vittengl and the NPs, Michelle and Katie, are so knowledgeable and easy to talk to whether I’m voicing a concern or just there for a routine visit. I highly recommend this office for anyone looking for a comfortable and compassionate primary care office!

Wish I would have read reviews before going to this office. Women in office are extremely rude and unprofessional, talk to you like a salon or retail store with no accountability rather than a medical office. Doctor talks to women in office and remains bias towards patient, making assumptions and leaves patient without adequate care or referral. Extremely disappointed in their behavior, after reading their review responses it is obvious they take no accountability for any wrong doing and aren't interested in investigating or communicating further in how to help each individual patient. They say to call their office but talking to women in office and the doctor, both will get you hung up on. Do not go here for pain or any condition that requires any urgent form of care; they treat you like a junkie for having legitimate health issues even with medical records.

This is the first time I had a bad experience there, I recently went there for a back injury and the PA that was tending to me wasn't listening to me or looking at me as I was explaining how I injured my back instead he thought I had an urinary tract infection and took my urine, what does a urinary tract infection have to do with me bending over hurting my back? Took xrays and preceded to say I have alot of arthritis in my back which I'm already aware of. I didn't come for a pre existing condition or an infection so he really didn't help me with my injury. My first bad experience there and hopefully my last.

My wife went here last year. She had a terrible sinus and respiratory infection and we live out of state. We were visiting family for the week. Nothing was prescribed for her so no relief the rest of the time we were on vacation. She is a Registered Nurse and knows when it is time to go to the doctor for medicine. She had to go to the doctor when we came back home for antibiotics. They apparently never billed our insurance when the card was provided to them. Instead they billed us directly months later for the waste of time visit. That was THEIR mistake. We are obligated to pay the copay. It's not our fault they didn't send it to our well known, widely accepted (everywhere) insurance company. Now just to be spiteful and weird because we are not paying them directly for a visit that wasn't billed to our insurance (the copay was paid at the visit). A letter arrives in the mail stating they are discharging her as a patient and hope that doing so prompts her to take more responsibility for her health. I hope this review prompts them to be more responsible with their billing practices or lack there of. I had to warn other people. Do not go here they obviously don't know how to run a business or treat sick patients.
