I had an amazing experience with Manhattan Kayak Co! So far I did the Sushi Trip and Palisades trip which were both fantastic! Looking forward to more kayaking adventures!

One of the great (and unique) joys of New York! The staff is unbelievably knowledgable and helpful. They have programs for beginners and experts. It is such a wonderful way to enjoy the City that I just booked an all-afternoon outing for my entire firm.

My dog and I had a lot of fun here! The employees there are so friendly and helpful! Highly highly recommend!

I’ve been going here for a few years now. I started with the Kayak Basics classes, and have gone on many trips in the Hudson. The guides absolutely know what they’re doing, and make sure that paddlers learn techniques correctly while still having a fun experience. Kayaking is pretty challenging, and there’s definitely a steep learning curve. But if you stick with it here you’ll develop an exciting skill, see NYC from a whole new perspective, and make some great friends.

We went kayaking on August 30,2023 and had a great time on the water with a wonderful view. The guide was very friendly and the club staff as well, very warm and welcoming.

A wonderful SUP Yoga experience with Mackenzie at the Manhattan Kayak. The ladder flow was progressive and class was well-paced to help build confidence towards peak balancing poses. Options were given to cater to the mutli-level class, and I was kept challenged and humbled. Lockers are provided (bring your own lock), life vests are provided, and expert photographer on board. Thank you for the amazing experience!

Lovely service and lovely people - were super responsive after hours with something I had left behind. Also the stand-up paddle boarding was really scenic and beautiful. Would totally recommend doing some fun water activities with them!

Love the first twilight to dark experience! Guides were so friendly and took pics for us at no charge. It’s so surreal being on the Hudson at dusk when the water reflects the beautiful colors of the sunset sky and the city skylights come on. Booked my second tour and bringing my daughter this time. Highly recommended!

I believe that everyone should experience kayaking on the Hudson River at least once in their lifetime. Although it proved to be more challenging than I expected, the instructors were outstanding in their expertise and knowledge. Stacy and Andrew were amazing, and I enjoyed the guided tour and the interesting fun facts they shared along the way. Thank you guys!

I thought it would be fun to take my two teenage kids paddle boarding. I chose the 45 minute session and it was great. Easy to get to, just the right amount of time on the water and the price was great. I highly recommend it - we will definitely go back!

I organized a team event with Manhattan Kayak Co, and they have been super helpful in getting our kayaking trip. We mostly communicated over email or SMS, and due to bad weather we had to reschedule the event a few times, but they have always been accommodating and supporting the rescheduling request without incurring fees.

Overall, we had a lot of fun time. They provided kayak, paddles, life vests and a guide. The only thing you need to bring are clothes that can get wet, sunblock. They also took pictures for us as well, so you don't have to bring your cellphone on the water if you are not comfortable with that.

While there are cheaper options for Kayaking available in the city, we enjoyed having the ability to reserve this for a corporate event and had a lot fun.

Manhattan Kayak is conveniently located within a 20 min walk from Penn Station and its rates are affordable.

A couple of my buddies and I had booked a private session for my girl friends birthday. Our instructor Colin was just so amazing! He got to know a little something about everyone, very caring, considerate, and thoughtful. He made sure safety was #1 for everyone so we can have the most fun time there. As we went kayaking as a group he made sure he told us any information about the different events, buildings and ships around. Colin also told us about the different places they visit and activities done there as well. Colin is overall was phenomenal and we couldn’t have asked for a better instructor.

Manhattan Kayak is a true gem of the city. The boathouse interior is designed to perfection - blending functional forms with a cozy, welcoming environment that would give any 5-star cafes in Manhattan a run for their money. Not only is the staff exceptionally friendly, but they are truly subject matter experts in the field and sport itself. I had the delight of listening into a MasterClass of SUP paddling led by one of their instructors. Never have I had a feeling of almost instantaneous understanding in a completely new discipline before.

The tours into the open water are to die for. I had the pleasure of joining their "Skyline" tour during the sunset hour, and it was an unforgettable experience. Would definitely recommend making a stop at Manhattan Kayak if you are visiting the city and in search of something different, fun, and beautiful.
