The food is good and reasonably priced, but the lunch manager dude is super rude, hangs up prematurely, seems to not want business, and just took 35 mins for my pick up order not to be ready when the restaurant was totally empty besides 2 people. I had to return to work with no lunch 40 mins after ordering. Guy was more than unapologetic, even shooing me out of the place when I told him it was time for me to go back to work. Plenty of better places in the neighborhood like Anar and Angan-food is good but not exceptional.

I got the vegetarian lunch special and it was delicious and came with so much food (especially considering the price!) Highly recommend this place!

People are wonderful who work there. Food is top notch. Been going here for years and always on top of their game!

I visited twice. The first time last week at 11am. I was greeted by a young woman who was very accommodating. Good service. Mind you! The restaurant opens at 11.30 despite it saying that it opens at 10: 45am. Overall good experience.

Ordered on seamless, waited the specified timeframe and food didnt arrive. Called them and they yelled food was out for delivery over and over and hung up. Waited 20 minutes and no luck, chatted seamless and they couldnt get a hold of the restaurant. Called again and they told me it was out for delivery and to go check outside. Nothing there and no help. Got a refund after waiting an hour and a half. The food is good but their service is bad and delivery is nonexistent. Also heard they dont pay their wait staff. Will stay away from this place now.

Very yummy! If you like spicy Indian food this is a great place for you. Everyone is so friendly here!

Stopped here for lunch on our way home to NJ. The food was amazing and our waitress was so sweet. The inside was beautiful and they played great music!

My order took 2.5 hrs and was delivered stone cold. It took multiple calls to actually get the food delivered.

Excellent restaurant with lovely service and presentation! I came in to pick up an order tonight, but had heavy bags in my hands from running errands and decided to eat at the bar. The staff prepared my food in a proper manner and brought it out to me like I had ordered to eat in! Delightful staff, thoughtful presentation, and they were playing very nice and authentic Indian music during the first half of my visit before switching to jazz which was quite enjoyable and played at a reasonable volume. Really a gem of a restaurant on the Upper West Side! I will definitely be dining in again in the near future instead of ordering for delivery only!

I have been eating here for 15+ years now and although the restaurant changed partial ownership and their name they remained a high standard of cuisine. Very authentic and great service! Highly recommend-

August 14th is India’s Independence Day, which usually coincides with a parade on that weekend. Searching all possible places for a buffet, this one was the closest which had one. Upon arriving, the beautiful waitress explained they had sopped due to COVID. And orders accordingly a la carte. The appetizer sampler was outstanding— and after having read many negative reviews between the service and food, couldn’t grapple how great it tasted. He main chef is a wonderful Sikh fellow who manages the cuisine. It is heavenly. Unforgettable, like being someplace in India where each regional cuisine tops the next and goes on and on forever. The goat curry by far was the freshest ever tasted. And the grilled tandoori platter, just delectable and sumptuous. Astounding ingredients and melange of spices to herbs on everything presented.

Of course eating like there’s a smorgasbord present is no easy feat for one person. Nonetheless the server was highly polished and lovelier likened as an international Air India flight attendant, constantly attentive and wonderful in every manner consider. Nothing extraordinarily ungainful nor distasteful whatsoever during the entire time there. Peacefully quieting.

Just simply the nicest people to a beautiful afternoon with stupendous classic Indian fare, amidst so many many empty storefronts on Broadway, nothing better than to have enjoyed this place and time on the Upper Westside.

Bad experience, they served wrong order. They were not even apologetic about it and asked to pay for whatever dish was served. I don't understand how this made sense. It spoiled our family dinner time. I would not recommend this place, not just because of the experience also the food was tasteless.

Chicken Masala was disappointing. A sweet tomato sauce taste. Curry Chicken had no spice. If your craving Indian food this is not the place. 1 star for package and appearance.

Food is good if not great. Terrific service. Good drink menu. They do not push you out so it's a great place to sit and talk with friends.

Ordered veg lunch special and everything was amazing. Packed well and got everything I ordered. Can't wait for the buffet to be open again.this place is top notch.

Going here was one of the highlights of my 4 years as an undergrad at Columbia. This was my campus getaway. The food was always delicious, and the Friday + Weekend brunch is one of the best deals in Manhattan. Additionally, don't disregard the weekday lunch specials. When I return to NYC, I make a point of paying Manhattan Valley a visit.
