Marcellus Park reviews
20Great place for an afternoon picnic with the kids or a walk with your dog. Lots of places to walk, ball fields, playground & courts. All this with a beautiful steam running through the middle.
Outstanding park with Nine Mile Creek running right through it. A great place to walk or picnic. Plenty of parking. Fun events including community concerts. The grounds are maintained perfectly. There are several pavilions which can be reserved. Never overly crowded. Peaceful place.
A very old park that has served the town of Marcellus for generations. The creek was and is an attraction for the local kids for wading and fishing.
Many ball games have been played on the diamonds as the tennis courts.
It's worth wandering around and explore.
Be aware, the squirrels are not afraid and believe you are there to share you food with them.
A wonderful resource for those living near Marcellus, NY. There are ball fields, a playground for children, volleyball, basketball, and tennis courts, trout fishing in Ninemile Creek, facilities for family picnics, and trails for walking or jogging. The trails include scenic stretches through woods and along the creek. The park is dog friendly, and they even have a fountain where water can be directed to a bowl at ground level to rehydrate your canine companion.
An AMAZING park, a perfect accent to our little town, well worth the visit and very beautiful and scenic.
Love the park and the area. There's plenty of trails to walk, creeks to see and animals along the way. The community is always so wonderful. Have been traveling here since I was a kid and its always a great experience. Ole Home Days is the best experience. Theres plenty of little vedors selling homemade goods. Rides for kids and fair games, catch the parade if you want to support their community. All and all bring the family marcellus is a beautiful community!
Excellent hiking trails which are plowed even in winter. Organized moonlight hikes. Some trails follow the creek which is delightful.
This park follows 9 mile creek. We'll maintained trails. Pavillion to use. I can't speak on the playground.
A gem of a local park with groomed walking trails, multiple gardens, pavillions, tennis courts, basket ball courts, ball fields, sand volley ball, and play areas for kids. They offer Concerts and special events throughout the summer. This is a very community oriented organization. There is plentiful parking and clean restrooms in strategic areas. The park personnel are especially helpful. A great place for seniors, pet walking and a trout creek for fishing.
Very very well maintained Park, dog friendly too, but pick up after your dog. And they clear the snow on the trails, whenever possible.
Great outdoor birthday party for the kids! Fun adventure walking the trails and hot chocolate in the pavilion!
Great place to go for a walk/run, picnic with friends and family, and to let the little ones run around on the playground. Pavilion rentals are very reasonable as well. Plenty of sporting options and open fields if that's your thing (beach volleyball, tennis, basketball, lacrosse, baseball diamonds, etc.). Bring your fishing pole and walk 9 Mile Creek to top it all off! Beautiful little gem inside the heart of Marcellus!
This is my favorite park but the playground needs some shad because the slides get too hot for the kids. As long as they're wearing pants, they're fine. Hah. Overall this is one of the best Parks in NY State in my experience.
Awesome park, lots of shade, seats, picnic benches, walking area. Wonderful play area from say like 2 up. My favorite park!
It was very clean the atmosphere is very peaceful good place to go and relax and a very good place to relax and have family gatherings
Great park to walk around, stream is beautiful. Kids love the playground and the mini play areas around the park as we walk around. Take a look at the map of the park located on the park office/ restroom building, it's much bigger than it looks. We're going to check out the butterfly garden on our next visit.
A very clean park with great pavilions, conveniently located from the restrooms. Benches and swings along side the stream, so relaxing. And the playground is very new with many different slides, swings and other toys.
Beautiful park. Well maintained and great for a family picnic, kids on the playground, tennis, basketball, or a stroll along the creek.
This park is a hidden gem! A well groomed walking trail crossing the creek; an impressive playground with smaller swings and slides throughout the grounds; and the ample picnic tables, pavilions, fields, and courts make this an all around great option for a family outing!
Great park for baseball, bike riding, walking, with a creek running right through the middle
