Margarita's Cafe, Wantagh NY

(Cockroach in the food!) I went to margaritas cafe 8/21/21 in wantagh and ordered the enchiladas suizas. I couldn’t even enjoy the enchiladas because as soon as I dug my fork in the rice a gigantic cockroach fell out from the rice. I was disgusted, in shock. I have never seen something like that in any of my food in any restaurant before. They tried to tell us that it was a cricket but.we live in New York we know what cockroaches look like. The manager then proceeded to bring us said cockroach in a napkin and tried to show us it wasn’t, he also claimed the rice was from the morning yet we started eating at 5 pm. To top it all off the margaritas were horrible.in a place that has margaritas in there restaurant name. Be careful if you eat here and look closely at your food. You never know what goes in the kitchen. Lastly that place definitely had cockroaches!

Noone cared or paid attention to the fact I was trying to get their attention to place an order "to go. " People were standing inside the doorway, waiting there. I don't know if they were waiting for a table after checking in, or if they weren't approached either. It would have been a very, very long wait until someone came over so I decided to leave. I saw two waitresses inside and one outside, who minded their own business and that was it.

Extremely helpful when ordering vegan meals, can help give advice and remove dairy from most items. Grandfather eats here twice a week, staff always greets him by name and makes it a great experience for him. Cannot recommend enough.

Food is mediocre. Service is usually good. But when I took my daughter for lunch there last week, we literally got yelled at for not having a mask. We have not needed any mask for any restaurant in the last 8 months. I don't know why they were so upset. So from now on we will not be coming here. Not worth the headache for mediocre food anyways.

Food was excellent. Service was great. Good music and good vipe.

Just a great spot for a good mexican meal! Happy hour is awesome and the margaritas pack a PUNCH for a great price!

Usually come here often but had a bad experience with a waiter. I’m surprised I still come here after finding a roach with our food at their East Meadow location. Gross!

Haven't had a bad meal from this establishment. We have come many times now. Food is consistent and great tasting.

Our favorite mexican restaurant around! Delicious home cooked food that tastes like your at grandmas house. There is nothing you wont love on the menu. Drinks are awesome as well.

I waited over an hour got the wrong order than was told that it was my fault for making the wrong order when I showed Joel the manager my receipt he was still rude and offered me no solution but to order again I’ll never go there again and I highly recommend NOT to waste your time or money with such unprofessional people

Spanish Food was fair, drinks were good, the parking around that area sucked. Service was quick and nice. Good crowd, would visit again.

Food was very good. I don't like spicy food, and they were able to make mine savory, but not hot.

Me and my son took over 2 hours to get our food. Got a sob story about how to go orders are backing up the kitchen. Owner knows and doesnt care according bto the waiter. Small portions for the price. What was there was good.

Excellent! Food was awsome, drinks were awsome. Service is great! I went for just a quick lunch and was very happy with everything. Looking forward to dinner in this place. Excellent I highly recommend if you like Mexican food. I will be going back!

The service is great and the food was delicious but don’t stop me on their watermelon and mango margaritas two choices to pick on for a nice time
