Maria De Sancho is an excellent doctor. She is extremely knowledgeable and doesn't ever stop investigating until she has answers to your medical issue. If you have been to Hematologists who have told you we don't have an answer, go to Dr. De Sancho.

The only downfall to seeing someone so popular, highly regarded, and well known is not being able to get in touch with them as fast as you need to. I had to wait 4 months to meet Dr. De Sancho for the first time and discuss my case with her. After blood work is drawn nurses call with your reports. Her next available appointment for me is July 2021. I called for my second appointment April 2021. This is my personal experience, maybe others with more severe issues are able to see her more often.

Dr. DeSancho is a phenomenal doctor. I've been seeing her for years now for a blood disorder that has resulted in two life-threatening pulmonary embolisms. She is incredibly intelligent and wonderfully compassionate and kind. She's a fantastic listener and also excels at communicating complex medical matters.

Dr. De Sancho is the best doctor one could ever hope for. She truly cares about her patients and will go the extra mile to ensure your well-being. She is very thorough, making sure she fully responds to all of your questions.

Dr. DeSancho is a kind, brilliant doctor. She has been my physician for over 20 years. When she left Mt. Sinai and moved to Weil Cornell I transferred as well. She has cared for me through many serious medical conditions. She has communicated with my other physicians. I would have died long ago had it not been for her. I cannot praise her highly enough.

I had DVT at my right leg three years ago and has been a patient of Dr. De Sancho since then. She is very knowledgeable in her specialty and a very caring person as well. After 9 months of treatment I am clot free now and still visit her twice a year for my ongoing controls. If you have a DVT or PE or any blood related disease I highly recommend her. However she is pretty busy, make sure you schedule your appointments ahead of time.
