Mariame Braiding, Rochester NY

I took four of my daughters to get their hair braided and they did a ok job but when I went to get my locks retwisted the lady broke off my hair and I had to get a haircut and start all over again. I was very disappointed and won’t get them done here ever again

This the only place I go! I love her daughter Rama hope I didn't mispell it. They are all very nice and friendly.

Quality braiding, pricey but good job. The atmosphere of the place can use an upgrade.why not customers pay well and it's nice to have a nice atmosphere. While your being provided dervices.my opinion only, keep scrolling.if you don't feel the same way.

Called a day ahead to schedule my appointment for my hair and spoke to someone the day of my appointment. I waiting over an hour to get my hair started after my appointment time and two of the workers were very rude and hostile. This is my second time using this service and I didn’t even receive what I inquired for, after I was told they’ll be able to do it and I left with something completely different

The girl that did my hair did t want to do my hair off my parts where straight the right side of my hard was different from the last left I was supposed to have a middle part t it was t in the middle when I went back they argue with me and over talked me lied and said they could not do my hair because the girl had a doctors appointment and it was no one Emma that could do it but a girl showed up while I was there and they was about to do her hair oh I called the same day I went home my calls where ignored I texted they went in answered either they are very on professionally they do not clean the combs the shop is dirty they talk over your head while doing your hair they ask that you pay before you get your services I’ll never go again

Been going here for years but lately marium been leaving here daughters to run the shop and they are extremely rude and try to overcharge when marium isn't around. Seriously need to adjust their attitude because I'm currently looking for someone else to braid my hair.

Terrible, never again. The hairstyle was trash. Waste of $50 for absolutely nothing. For a freestyle for a kid. Looked like a braid down for a wig. Business should be shut down. Filthy in there and all.

I took my daughter to get two braids put in her hair like she did not even 2 months ago so i go to pick her up n 1 the hair style wasn’t even what we asked for 2 the braids were so sloppy A lot of my daughter hair was still sticking out 3 the braids were so short n thin at the bottom top it off charged me $25 more the the original style we asked for so I addressed all these things with n told her I’m not paying for this it’s sloppy ugly n not what we wanted u can take it out or I will she started taking it out n tried to charge me to take it out I laughed so hard n told her I’m not paying for somthing as sloppy n not even what we wanted I’ll never go back there n I was a customer for years but I see there just letting everyone braid in there now

I called two times once on a Wednesday to ask about brading my natural hair and what time they open. Marianne answered and said 8 clock. I then called back on a Friday and wanted to make an appointment for Saturday. Mairame said they are busy in the mornings and come at 2pm. She then told me she would call me back didn't even ask for a name or a number and never did. Very unprofessional and RUDE!

Been going here for years. I love Mariame n her sister Fatima.they are the best quick I always love my hair.even when I try new styles. I'm always satisfy.they are the best

Love my braids. Love the fact that everyone there works together as a team to get the job done perfectly!

I have sores all over my neck, edges, parting space etc! My money is gone and so is my hair, please DO NOT GO HERE!

Overpriced, doesn’t have licensed braiders, quality is horrible, prices aren’t listed but she has the nerve to have a no refund sign hanging up! Mariam (the owner) will charge you what she feels. One week later my hair is coming out of my box braids and they are falling out like crazy. Don’t waste your money or time here trust me!

I came to this salon with a 9: 00 appointment. The person who was supposed to do my hair did not showed up 1 hour and 29 minutes late doing my hair. Meanwhile, there was a girl on duty who had nothing to do, who volunteered to do my hair AFTER I WAITED 1 hr snd 20 minutes already.
I paid 175 for box broads that started to unravel after only 6 days. I
There were two women doing my hair, who each had their own technique in braiding my hair. The braids did not look alike at all. So the right side of my hair was longer than the left. I called and voiced my critic about the braids that I had received and the eldest braided says I can come back in to have the braids reinstalled but I would be charged.

The day the braids were done, I even tipped 25 because of how they looked. Had I known they would have unraveled in 6 days, I would have surely kept the tip to myself.
Parking is not safe. It’s in a rear parking lot that does not belong to them, but instead the laundry mat in. Different street.
Don’t hold your breath expecting greatness from this salon.
It is also outdated needs to be cleaned thoroughly, since it is filthy.
The music videos played on their t.v. Are not kid friendly. Twerking, rap and hop hop videos is all the customers had to view while waiting to get their hair done.
