Mariner's Harbor reviews
18Bisque was warm, not hot and only mildly seasoned. Caesar was wilted and watery. Seasoning on both entrees was lacking making them less savory than expected. Not bad, but not as great as they could have been. They were well cooked and presented.
Wow! My lobster roll was delicious, and the serving size large, on delicious warm bread. I told the waitress that it was better than the lobster rolls I had in Maine, and I meant it. The price was much better too! I am an out of town visitor, and stopped in after a boat tour on the Hudson. I did not know that I would receive $25 off my Birthday meal. Wow again! Delighted with the food, the dining experience, and the Birthday gift!
Well, I definitely will never be back here again. Took forever for the waitress to take our order. No salad with meals anymore, our bread. Asked the waitress if the stuffed shrimp had real or imitation crab meat in the stuffing, and she kindly went back to ask the chef who informed her that yes, it was real crab meat. Now, if you're a chef at a restaurant, you should obviously know your food/ ingredients. When we finally got our food.roughly 40 mins after ordering, It turns out that the chef had lied to the waitress about the stuffing and actually used imitation crab. Now, this is a seafood restaurant, if your going to cheap out on your ingredients, then shame on you for even making a meal with fake stuff. The breading was like eating a soggy pasty bread. The rice was even more undesirable, bland, and unseasoned. Such a disgraceful practice. I then advised the waitress that it was imitation crab and not real crab, and she said "I"m sorry. " Didn't ask if we wanted anything to replace our meals and didn't even send the manager out to us. Cheap, garbage food.
Went for birthday and early Mother's Day lunch. Atmosphere was hopping, Earth Day Fest. No wait. Scallops risotto = SCRUMPTIOUS. Thai cauliflower app. Incredible! Brooke our waitress was more than accommodating and friendly. Manager checked on all to ensure all patrons were satisfied. Kudos! And I was given the birthday discount, a Bonus! WELL DONE!
The food was good, not great but good. Service was horrible. Poor, poor, poor service. Waitress only came by the table one time to ask if everything was good, I asked for a refill, and she never came back with my drink. I was frustrated because I was thirsty. Also, She never refilled our drinks (water) either. When we flagged her down 20 minutes later, she didn't even acknowledge that i was waiting for my refill, i told her i never got my refill, and she caught a bit of an attitude. When she came back 10 mins later with my drink, she asked if we wanted dessert, we said yes, and she brought back the menus. We waited almost 30 minutes, and she never showed up to take our dessert choices. Finally, We just decided to leave without the desserts. I asked for the bill (after waving her down again). She never asked why we were leaving, and she dropped the bill on the table and walked away. Very unprofessional. I spent more time waiting for help than eating.
Also, too many kids are running around the place as well.
I'm never going back there again.
No food today, just a Bloody Mary for me. Superb! Exquisite! Seriously, probably the best Bloody Mary I've ever had. Made my day! Excellent service and atmosphere too!
We had a lovely evening here with our 5 and 8 year old. The staff was so accommodating with the kids extra requests, bringing extra coloring menus and orange slices for the little one. The oysters were fresh and the stuffed cod so good. And the 8 year old raved about how perfect the asparagus was cooked haha! She was not wrong:) Drinks were on point. We had the perfect table by the window in the patio section and then finished the meal with ice cream at the window around the side of the restaurant. Def will be back!
They did a fundraiser and didn't care about how they treaded the consumer. I'll never go back for any reason. Been a patron of the past. Done.
Although the service was a bit slow the food was fantastic and the staff were welcoming and kind. Everyone’s meals were enjoyed and my son says it’s his favorite new restaurant. We will definitely return.
The food was simply delicious. The calamari appetizer was fresh and the dipping sauce was a perfect combo. The Ahi Tuna melted in your mouth. The Salmon in cream sauce was light and so flavorful. The red clam sauce over linguini was very well received. Finally, the stuffed shrimp was some of the best I've ever had. We had impeccable service and were seated by the fireplace. We were there to celebrate my daughter's Birthday and it was a resounding success. It was a little pricy but the portions were fantastic. We all left totally satisfied with the entire experience. We would highly recommend the experience.
Been going here all my life. I continue to go weekly. Also do events there as a dj. There staff is top notch & food never disappoints. They are a pillar restaurant in the community. Sal Guido is best owner you could have.
Had a lovely meal at Mariner's Harbor. Outdoor seating with water view was lovely on a nice day. Food was excellent and the atmosphere at was lovely. Would definitely recommend.

Food is delish, varied, and affordable for a nice bar and restaurant! Service is on point! Great atmosphere with an indoor and outdoor bar! Live Music on the patio with awesome views down on The Strand! Get there by boat, car, or foot, etc.
A great place to party with friends, family, or a date!
Highly reccomended! Been going there for years!
Amazing location and great food. Wide selection of drinks and within walking distance to many shops, the Maritime Museum and the river tour boat. Clean bathrooms!
Was really good food great staff we sat at bar and ate they were so busy but that's to be expected. Can't wait to go back
This was a wonderful atmosphere tucked in downtown Kingston. I wasn't in the mood for seafood, so let's start there. Being a bit grumpy to find out they were out of lobster rolls it was off to a bad start. I ordered the clam chowder. My partner had the lobster bisque. We all split calamari and claims in shell as the appetizer. They were great! The bisque was perfect, even though my evil partner would only share a spoonful. The chowder was so hearthy and almost a meal in itself. My mother in law asked for a cup and sipped the shell juice from the steamer of the clams. Our entrees were even better. After to-go boxes all around.we took off for a stroll down the boardwalk. My advice.a great place to go to build a memory.
OMG We shared a dozen yummy blue point oysters then I had a perfectly ripen pear with the best burata and prosciutto my friend had a Lobster Roll that was filled with succulent lobster it was wonderful!
First visit. My husband and I sat outside with a lovely water view. My prosciutto, pear and burratta appetizer was delicious, as was my scallop risotto. My husband's oyster appetizer and lobster dinner were also very good. Our service by Alberto was perfect. We shared the Raspberry Burst dessert - epic!
