I was referred to surgeon Mark Hennon. Being diagnosed with a nodule in the right lung mostly identified as malignant at early stage, my expectations were if lucky, I would want someone with humane qualities much more than the experience itself. That is what I have found in surgeon Hennon and his team. During the first appointment he took his time explaining the facts and the options. During the second appointment, I had to commit to the surgery. Thus, he took his time with me again revisiting what we have discussed during the first appointment. He made me feel good about the surgery and post surgery outcome. The morning of the surgery at Roswell Park, surgeon Mark Hennon and his team showed me that I am really in good hands. Pre-op, in the OR and post-op surgeon Hennon I have seen a professional and a caring doctor. I am feeling much better today because of him and his team. I highly recommend him for his dedication, skills and for being compassionate.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This man may come off as caring and kind over the phone but is completely different in person. Not only did he waste my time, but also created multiple health scares only to tell me all of my problems with breathing, heart racing and difficulty swallowing are because I'm overweight and have acid reflux. This man has me go through multiple tests as well as a biopsy only to tell me that firstly "everyone has heart problems" after I found out I have mild tricuspid valve regurgitation and that I shouldn't follow up with a cardiologist. Secondly I have choked in my sleep, have problems swallowing, as well as a tightnes in my throat and there were nodes shown in my salivary glands and he told me its all because of acid reflux. I have a family member who is an RN, has been working for 21 years with the terminally I'll and has told me these are things that need to be followed up on. Lastly, he refuses to do any more biopsies of my englarged thymus despite seeing a constant high white blood cell count in multiple years of CBC's and will not do any more blood tests to see if there's any infection. His bed side manner is terrible and making me go through so many procedures while having my chart only to tell me I feel constant pressure on my chest is because of my weight. Absolutely terrible, also there's a mass in my chest which he refuses to remove or check for thymoma even though it has thymic tissue and is branches off and away from my thymus gland.
