Mark's Texas Hots reviews
16 Waited 10 minutes with a doordash pickup order for lunch.it never was confirmed.
This place is pretty good in person the food is good but the service is average at best and thats based both on in person and online order experience.
Eating here is an experience of it's own. The garbage plates are great but if you are here late at night expect a security guard and a little bit of chaos. A right of passage to get a plate here at 1AM.
Had Marks Sloppy Plate " garbage plate" and no complaints. Service was outstanding as well as the food.
Marks so good to me I really leave the boujisness at home and bring your pistol but damnnn this food good. It's the meat sauce for me
Great food, would highly suggest grabbing a Sloppy Plate if you go in, definitely on of the better meat sauces around
Walked in to pick up my order overnight & was swatting flys away while a tweaked out lady did her happy dance in-front of me, all while the employees argued loudly with eachother about whether the order they were about to serve was still raw or not. I just turned around & walked out. I’ll pass on the food poisoning thanks
Terrible literally waited 2 hours just to find out our food wasn’t even on the way yet.then the owner refused to give us a refund after we paid the cost online and never got our food.
A lot has changed, to say the least. It's a sad sad day when you are eating at a diner and all of the "silverware" is plastic ware️️️ I mean I guess I can understand, but paper cups, plates plastic forks and knifes?
The food let's just say. There wasn't "any" love, that came from the kitchen. Well done home fries I guess means "all the old burnt random food" from the flat grill will do.
The food was prepared quick you never can go wrong with cheeseburger and fries I thought but I was wrong
This morning I have went there to get some food unfortunately me and my friend both ordered a single order of chicken wings that came out undercooked unfortunately we were driving back to Buffalo so there was no way to take some back or complain but it kind of sucks that I spent over $44 42 single orders of chicken wings I'm not impressed at all
This is a dive in the truest sense, and that's why I love it. If you are looking for a fancy diner with fancy gimmicks, this isn't that place. If you're looking for an unhealthy amount of food at some ungodly hour, this is the place.
Also, the people who work there *will* be good to you, as long as you are good to them.
Being able to say you ate at Mark's, is another must for the Monroe Ave. / Rochester experience. Thanks to Nick's, there are many restaurants that offer their version of the "Garbage Plate". I am fond of the quality and the quantity of the food served up on the Mark's "Plate" I get the cheeseburger version, with everything on it, usually with fries and mac salad, though beans and home fries are an option. Everything on it means the pile of food heavily covered with a spicy meat sauce, mustard and raw chopped onions. Now and then, I will get a Plate with a red hot and a white hot. If you have never had white hot, aka a "Texas Hot" it's a great way to try one. Aside from the food, I still enjoy going to Mark's, for the large booths, and get one with a window view of Monroe Ave, you never know what you might see. The staff is always friendly and helpful, quick service, quick with your food, they are great with kids before bedtime, and those with special needs. While the Monroe Ave.neighborhood has become rougher since I lived there 15 years ago, it's like anyplace you go, it's who you are with and how you live, not random.
Food use to be better, service was. Terrible, probably won't be going back. When ever we would visit Rochester we would visit. But since the Pandemic. Not the same. V
Interior feels nice and great plants along the windows. Food is good for the price, had Turkey Club and fries. Turkey fresh and a generous amount of fries - good flavor and crisp, can taste the clean oil. Good milkshake too. Allowing dine-in and takeout at this time. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean bathroom.
Got my first ever plate here, staff is friendly and helpful to a Rochester newbie like me. The food is great, I cannot wait to try their breakfast menu.
I ordered on door dash in the instructions to put sauce on the side but they put it on it. It's advertised with french fries and Mac salad but didn't receive either.
