Marquis Theatre reviews
19Not sure why Once Upon A One More Time closed. We had so much fun at this highly entertaining penultimate performance.
This theater is so nice and comfortable. It is a new theater so seats are comfortable and I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. Restrooms are lovely. I saw Once Upon A One More Time and it was so excellent and superb. So so sad it had to close.
Audio is spectacular in this great theater! Crystal clear. I was incredibly impressed. Spacious compared to other theaters.
Attended the APPA Convention here. The space is nice and the 8th floor is quite impressive. The valet is absolutely terrible. Over 1 hour to retrieve our vehicle is unacceptable.
Lines move quickly, a lot of space in the lobby to stretch while waiting for the show or during intermission.comfortable theater seats with plenty of leg room. It doesn't have the grandeur of the older theaters on Broadway, but at least it makes up for that in comfort.
Great sightlines in the orchestra. Clean bathrooms but there are few stalls so be ready to speed walk to them at intermission. Short lines for the merch and bar and lots of options available at both. Cool photo ops before you head in to the actual theater. Staff was friendly and the show was great! Try to catch it before it closes.
Nice, large venue with good space for seating (compared to many NY theatres), but the interior architecture/design is modern and uninspiring. Still, a fine place to see a show.
This theater houses the incredible performance for Once Upon a One More Time. A beautiful revamped princess fairytale story retold with the songs and lyrics of our princess of pop Britney Spears. An innovative concept that fits perfectly. If you are a fan, you will be singing along to the songs and at the edge of your seat. I can’t believe they are taking it off Broadway. The cast is so talented and performs so well!
Saw Tootsie there. Great show. Big theater inside the hotel. Just saw One More Time there too. Such a good show.
The current show, Once Upon A One More Time, is incredible! Fun for all! My kids enjoyed the fairytale princess story and the Britney Spears music and myself as a 1999-2000s major Britney fan. Justin Guarini is the Prince Charming and plays it so well and sings the songs wonderfully. We would see this show again in a heartbeat! Theatre was nice. I didn’t realize it’s in the Marriott Marquis and had to go up the escalators from street level. We were row M and the view was great. Bathrooms are a bit small but there were 2 or 3 different locations in the theatre lobby.
I loved seeing Once Upon a One More Time at this theater. The seats were great. The hotel was so nice for standing and waiting to go in. My one feedback was I felt a little rushed to leave and we were trying to figure out where to meet the Uber. No one is really around after the show to help guide you. But I would definitely see a show here again and would love to figure out how to eat at a restaurant there next time. It’s such a beautiful place and I felt very safe.
Very pleasant, there are large frames where you can take pictures. Note that there is a break, we almost left because we thought the show was over.
Inside of the Marriott Marquis hotel in NYC.
The venue is nice and clean. The view from the mezzanine 3rd row center is nice.
I cannot comment on concessions - the server was slow and closed as soon as the warning bell chimed.so the line was shooed away (with more than enough time to have actually gotten something).
I attended a show with three children - the theater has very limited boosters; annoying because I was told if I needed one I could return to the entrance, but by the time I got back, what turned out to be the last one was gone. I was then sent on a wild goose chase to all FOUR entrances, only to learn that the others also had none.
The show was loud, and I am not usually one to complain that something was too loud.
The show was also amazing, with many layers of entertainment/plot. I would see the show again, but probably bring concert ear plugs (which I've never used before).
We saw Once Upon a One More Time here. It was a fun show with great laughs and great dancing.
We had a full view of the stage from the mezzanine. The seats were comfortable and our view was in obstructed. We had planty of leg room and the angle of the mezzanine meant no heads blocked our view.
Like being on a lousy cruise ship but it’s a “Broadway theatre. ” The lobby is gigantic yet they couldn’t install a water fountain. So it’s one of those greedy money pit cruise ships, too.
Went to see Once Upon A One More Time. Very efficient entry and exit for the show. Only thing that was bothersome was that the staff were quick to catch anyone who was on their phone but somehow missed the person who was vaping a few rows in front of us.
Great theater, it’s new and the shows are good. Saw Once upon a more time (Britney show) and it was amazing! They serve drinks there too
Once Upon a One More Time
This play speaks to EVERYONE.
Everyone can change their story… everyone has a right to be heard.
What a performance. All the characters have a unique style and a beautiful degree of humility, making this a show that really touches your heart on all levels. The way in which they engage their audience is commendable.
The high energy of all the performers is to be admired.
They took Britany Spears and humanized her music.
The choreography for all cast members was par excellence, right down to the remarkable backbend of Belle.
Right when I thought Prince Charming was stealing the show, along comes another number by Cinderella, then Snow White, the little Mermaid and the drunken episodes of all princesses, particularly the Princess and the Pea was hilarious. It had me screaming out by intermission: Princesses Rock.
They overcame the obstacles in their way and melted the heart of the ugliest of characters, with wonderful plot twists along the way.
The little child throughout the play ever reminds us to stay “young at heart”.
I highly recommend this play. It does not disappoint.
Well cared for. It could be seen well even though we didn't have exceptional seats. Good organization, nice staff
