Probably the best Emergency Housing/shelter in the Bronx, if not the whole New York City for LGBT youth (18 to 30). It feels more like a college dorm and staff has always been so kind to me. Just stay out of the drama, lock up your belongings, follow the rules to the best of your ability and you'll be just fine. Remember, the goal isn't to stay here forever.

The energy in the building makes you feel like dying, currently ran by Project renewal which doesn’t know how to work with the lgbt community. Not a place for affirming social services.

From what I've seen so far, there is a lot of work to be done renovations wise. Clients enter each other's rooms and smoke meth or abuse cocaine. Some of the security guards are nonchalant while others do their job. The bathrooms are constantly breaking down but are fixed as soon as possible same goes for beds and lockboxes. There's heat and laundry service in weekends which is the plus side but curfew is 10pm 7 days a week. No weekend extensions.
