A romantic dinner place. Outstanding wine list. Food was excellent. Staff Friendly and attentive.

Man oh man, where do I start. The live pianist, the ambiance or the food. Not to mention the service was top tier, Both times I visited. One of my favorite steakhouses hand down. I would recommend 10/10

The GM Greg was very rude and discriminated against me because I was wearing my religious crown. He told me that he didn’t care and that he wouldn’t serve me. I understand that the restaurant has a policy and rules, but that doesn’t warrant or justify disrespect or discrimination of religious groups.

Girlfriend and I shared the Chefs cut NY strip and the cut was flavorful and seasoned to perfection. Definitely the place that cooks your meat to the temperature you ask which is surprisingly uncommon even in fine dining. Thanks again mastros

I was not surprised to find the other reviews noting the lackluster service here. First let me preface by saying that part of the reason why my experience at this location was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE, was my fault; I was late arriving due to rain and unfamiliarity with the area. (However, I did call ahead to let them know this.) I also booked the res to dine before a show so I had a time crunch.

The host, (I don’t know her name but she wore a knee brace), was impersonal, unfriendly, and completely indifferent to my distress. That was very clear. There was no greeting; she acknowledged my reservation and led me to a crowded bar area table FULL of people standing around and talking. I asked for something less crowded away from the bar and her response was “Well, you’re only one person”. Eventually, and very, very begrudgingly, she sat me at a table still about 5 feet adjacent from the bar… when at this time it’s only 6: 25pm and there are several empty tables around the restaurant.

My server arrives, and he has a similar indifferent demeanor. Not rude at all but I felt from each person I interacted with like I was a nuisance. I ordered quickly but given the time crunch and poor service I ultimately decided to leave. I told my server I’d pay for what had already arrived to the table and requested to cancel everything else. There was a miscommunication when he returned to the table; I had the impression that he just went ahead and cancelled the entire order. I left the table and was just outside the door (for about 5 minutes mind you) before he comes out and accuses me of trying to run out on 23 dollar tab. I am trying to explain to him that I misunderstood the situation and he’s not letting me get a word in. I also notice who I assumed to be the manager, hovering nervously, who made no effort to de-escalate or remedy the problem.

Beautiful restaurant and ambiance, the food looked divine, there was even live music. All in all, there were so many opportunities for this to be an enjoyable experience even considering hurdles, but the staff was committed to being unlikable. Extremely disappointing.

When I visited yesterday, the restaurant was already full, which is a positive indication. It didn't take long to get seated, and the food arrived quickly, but our server, Bryce, was really unpleasant and gave off the impression that he didn't want to be there. When we asked questions, we were just told to check in our menu. We were utilizing light on our phones, just like all the groups of ladies at the next table, who were “white “Nevertheless, nothing was told to them by our server. This was terrible customer service, and we truly wished we had been given one of the other servers. However, the restaurant was charming, the food was decent, and the servings were generous.

I tried Mastro’s in Chicago and now this one! Both are great!
I highly recommend to order the filet and the filled potato. One potato is good enough for two people.
Seabass is also good, but I think this restaurant is definitely for meat.
The carpaccio didn’t convince me.
Red wine will be the best option. I suggest to the restaurant to increase the wine list, specially Malbec.
Reservation is a must and arrive with time because the area is always busy.
Huge restaurants and well decorated, classy and old school.
The service is wonderful.
I’d repeat it!

One of the best steakhouses in NYC! I normally have steak there, but I recently tried the branzino and it was amazing.

Please understand the famous Butter Cake is the famous dish on this menu and anytime I went to Las Vegas I was at Mastros Table enjoying there excellent meals. Topped off with the Butter Cake

The manager was very nasty. I came with my son and his girlfriend we were all dressed well. He was wearing Yeezy slides, but very nice ones. She looked at him with the stain and rejected us. I will never ever eat there.

First time visit recently was a great experience. From the front desk reception to the server, encountered the highest level of professionalism. Selections were plentiful, portions were large but manageable, temperature of food excellent. Of particular note was the attention paid by Timothy Johnson towards our party. His collegial manner and warmth served to enhance our our overall experience. Will definitely return in the future.
