We purchased our 2014 KIA Optima SXL new from Mathews when it was Fucillo. Love the car, had no issues at all outside of normal maintenance. We also purchased the diamond level extra warranty which covers bumper to bumper 100,000 miles / 10 years. Conveniently the dealership continues to "not find evidence of this" in their system. Luckily my wife keeps all this documentation and we provided the dealer with the contract number. Now we are wondering how many repairs we've paid out of pocket for over the years that should be reimbursed. Remember, we bought from this dealer so there is no excuse to not have a record of the warranty in their system. Do yourself a favor and work with a dealer that honors their commitments

Ron felix was a very helpful salesman when we picked our new kia carnaval.he explaned all the different trims and options and didn, t press us to buy anything we didn, t want.we are extremely happy with our new vehicle.

I am grateful that Matthew's Kia was able to service my 2022 Kia Sportage after it was vandalized. The dealer had my vehicle for 1 month.
I was not thrilled that the Red "this car has been disabled" stickers were left on all four of my windows as well as the white chalked in word "disabled" on my windshield when I was informed these items would be removed. Some of the broken glass was still on my seats and flooring of the car. Then I noticed there was paint chipping at the rear of my vehicle by the lights this was not there before my car was sent to the dealership. I called to report this shortly after I picked my car and noone called back.

I understand that these are unprecedented times in regards to the thefts and vandalism of Kias. I'm disappointed that my car was not returned to me at least in the same condition it was prior to it being vandalized.

If your Kia/car needs to be fixed by a dealer service department, AVOID Matthew's Kia at all costs (because it WILL cost you a lot more). Here's the Ugly, the Bad, and the Good. Pardon the caps.

The Ugly - The Service Department
THEY WITHHELD THE TRUTH AND IT COST ME A LOT OF MONEY! While my car was in their possession being fixed, they lost the keys to my car. Instead of telling me they were lost (where I could have brought my other key in and taken my car home) COMMUNICATION STOPPED COMPLETELY. I stood face-to-face with the person in charge of my vehicle at the dealership and he refused to give me any information as to when my car would be finished. After help from a friend who had connections, I found out - IT WAS FINISHED as I was having that conversation! He couldn't/wouldn't/didn't care to find the key to my finished vehicle, and I was left paying for a rental car for another week! All of this took place after they had already had my vehicle for two months. Over that time, I was unable to contact anyone by phone (aside from the very beginning) and had to physically go to the dealership to get any information. That meant taking time off of work to do so.

The Bad
The Service department was hit by the onslaught of break-ins and totaled cars, which created chaos. I understand that. However, I believe the situation as a whole could have been handled better. This was a think-outside-the-box opportunity to improve processes, but it was a missed opportunity. Leadership seemed to be lacking and morale (understandably under the circumstances) was in the basement.

The Good
Their Sales department has always been wonderful, working with me to find a car that fits my budget. They've been fair, friendly, and always very helpful.

By far the best dealer/service center I have been to. They are always very informative and take care of their customers. I have spent countless money here and they always look out for me with discounts and customer rewards.

Great experience! First time leasing a vehicle and Matthews was able to get me the best deal compared to every other Kia dealership in Rochester. I owe it all to Allan! He was able to get exactly what I was looking for and made the whole process comfortable for me. Brian was also great to work with and I will recommend everyone to request both him and Allan.

Chance Kromer, the salesperson I worked with, was outstanding in terms of communicating with me. This included staying in contact with me to answer my questions even when I was home and had more questions or concerns. He went above and beyond in every way possible and made the process enjoyable and actually fun. I went in with a little bit of trepidation about how things would play out and Chance could not have been better to work with.

Shortly after my purchase I had some concerns about a few things and scheduled time to leave my vehicle with the service department. My experience with service was the exact opposite of my experience with sales. I fully believe they didn't even bother to look at things when they had it and I still have problems today, some of them which turned out to be proven problems that they would have noticed had they taken proper time to investigate. Ultimately I am torn as I would love to do business with Chance again but the service department has left me pretty cynical. I currently have them looking into rectifying one issue again and we shall see how that plays out and if it makes me less cynical.

On June 6th I came in with low tire that had experienced multiple slow leaks. They were unable to schedule it until June 20th. As an older senior female my concern was possible problems on several weekly trips to Rochester. Dan Koval, upon hearing this, said he would look at it the next day on his lunch hour! The result was the removal of 2 nails and a very relieved customer. Dan is truly the epitome of good customer service! Thank you Dan!

Johnna was absolutely amazing with my wife and I! We purchased a new Carnival and she was very efficient throughout the transaction process. She was also very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Special thanks to Erik as well! Would deal with again!

Service Department is always the best!
5-15-23 update: if you need any car serviced Matthews Kia service department in Greece is the place to go! Joe the manager has built a fantastic team of professionals. Not only do they keep my Kia Sedona in tip top shape they service our Nissan Rogue also. They work efficiently, honestly and take fantastic care of the customers. From Doug who greets you in the beginning to the last communication from Joe confirming a topnotch experience you will be happy you went to them!

We had a wonderful experience buying our first Kia (2024 Seltos) with Ron Felix. He was very patient and encouraged us to call him with any questions. So far we are very satisfied and hope there will be excellent service in the future from the service department.

Bought my 2022 Kia Seltos last year. Dealt with a salesman named Eddie and quite honestly, great guy and very knowledgeable and have no complaints with the sales department whatsoever. The day I went to pick my car up I had to fill out paperwork as to be expected while their team would prep the car ect. I ended up sitting in the lobby to no exaggeration over five hours. I got the car home and there was still packing tape on the car. I received a call a couple days later because of the review I left and they rectified the situation. Months go by and I do my regular service through them and no issues whatsoever. This month I bring my car in for normal maintenance and then I get home and notice there’s damage to the oil pan cover and it’s cracked. I call them up and send them the photo. They ask me to come in to have it checked out. (I’m 45 minutes away) I go in to have it checked out and was told by Pat Brown the gm that they were not going to pay for it. After arguing with them for roughly ten minutes I told them that I would not do business with them anymore. Pat brown the gm comes back out and says they will replace. Ok great. I come in to the dealership this morning and they replaced the cracked part that they damaged but failed to take responsibility on. Well how ironic, today, I go out to the car after they replaced the pan and notice the front license plate holder is cracked in half and the bottom piece missing. Not a huge deal but how convenient that they said they didn’t cause damage with the pan but yet they cracked the plate holder. This dealership has a great sales department but I would never recommend it to any of my friends and family and quite frankly will never do business with a dealership with such subpar service department.

I just purchased a 2023 kia forte and couldn’t be more happy. Dan made the whole process so easy and really fast. He answered all of the questions and walked me thru the entire process which made everything stress free! I highly recommend Matthews kia of Greece and will be coming back in the future! Don’t forget to ask for dan Mitchell as your salesman!

The service was excellent, to include washing the car after the repairs. The price was higher than some other chains and independent service stations.though I am confident that the repairs and service were done correctly at Matthews.

Service dept did not meet my expectations. They are just collecting fees and seem inexperienced and unable to diagnose. My advice is stay away from buying a Kia bc the after care is terrible. And the vehicle is not reliable.
