Mavis Discount Tire, Bay Shore NY

This particular Mavis is run by a great guy and manager whose name is Greg. This guy does an oustanding job in making this location customer friendly, professional, and flexible. I've been going here for years for tires and general maintainence on my car and have always come away satisfied and grateful for the terrific job his whole staff does in making my cars happy.

VERY DISAPPOINTED! Made an appointment on line with the tires I needed. Appointment was confirmed by Mavis rep from this location. Showed up on time for appointment but when I got there they did not have my tires. Desk person made 2 phone calls. Long story short they did not have the tires and someone canceled my order. He told me it will take 2 days to get them. Why would you confirm an appointment if you can’t get the tires. I called customer service to issue a complaint. The young lady apologized for the inconvenience and would pass it along to the regional rep and he will call you to discuss what happened. It’s been 3 days without a call back. Very unprofessional to say the least.

Excellent service! My car was finished within an appropriate amount of time. Wait area was clean and within Covid-19 regulations. Staff were courteous and informative.

The Mavis in Bayshore, NY continues to be my go to for repairs and tires. The manager is pleasant and delivers on his promises as best as possible. I highly recommend this Mavis.

TRAINWRECK. I wish that I could give zero stars - this place is a complete disaster. I suppose its my fault for going back a second time. I had tires installed just before I brought my new born daughter home from the hospital. Immediately after picking up the vehicle, I heard rattling and discovered my rear driver lug nuts were loose. That and the utter incompetence of the staff involved; Jeff, Greg, that younger girl with the horrible attitude and whoever else in the garage at any given time, will 100% assure I will never use this location ever again. Glad that I'm not telling a story about how I killed someone, myself or my family.

Had an extremely satisfactory visit even in light of mutliple day long power outages. Greg was very helpful and all the work this mavis has done is greatly appreciated. Have been here before and will be back again.

These guys are the real deal. Need a NYS inspection. My Nissan Dealer told me the last time I had it in for a oil change that my brakes were getting very low. This Mavis location did the inspection and informed me that my brakes still had 60% of the life left on my brakes. Goid to see there are honest people out there. Had them do my oil change also. Nissan dealer will be hearing from me. Thanks again Mavis.for your honesty

Good honest people and fair pricing. They do more than tires. Very accommodating.
As of this post, the manager's name is Greg. He's been always courteous and willing to do whatever he can to make your car "happy".
They do good front end work, brakes, tune ups, and oil changes.

Worst ever. Made appointment, Dropped car off at 12pm and let guys know my wife was in hospital, needed it by 3, it's almost 5pm and still not ready, all for inspection. Totally unprofessional and inconsiderate.

Got a great deal on 4 new skins plus ball joint repair and alignment for under $750.mounted and balanced included.

They could use more mechanics around, a little understaffed. Other than that, they've always been good to me.

They changed my brakes in their estimated time for a more than reasonable price. The guys were nice. They had a area where you can sit and wait. I grabbed a bite to eat across the street at the dinner.

The service here is usually favorable, the staff are respectful and considerate to customers. They well explain whatever factors affecting the auto and recommend options in view of customers' circumstances.

I purchased4 new tires and paid for a wheel alignment i had to go back they didn't tighten the snug bolt on my tierod end which created a rattle went back a week later. They fixed the issue and given me free oil change however a month later my inner and outer tierod end failed on thanksgiving. Needless to say the expense and inconvenience.was grateful it didn't fail on thr parkway killing me and other's.
