Mavis Discount Tire, Rochester NY

I have had trouble with other Mavis locations before but brought my car here for an oil change and inspection because the prices were the lowest I could find. When I picked my car up I noticed a large dirty handprint on my fabric seats which I was not able to get out. When driving my car after I brought it home I smelled gas, and after checking the oil cap had fallen off and into the inside of the car, and oil had sprayed into the inside of my hood. They had also left the cap off the wiper fluid, and the hood latch was not working. They let us bring it in the next day to fix these issues free of charge which is why I am giving 2 stars. However when we picked it up the hood latch had still not been fixed and we had to go ask again to get it fixed, and my seat is stained from the handprint. I appreciate that they made it right but the fact that these mistakes were made, and that we had to ask twice to get them fixed means I would not recommend this business.

Super fast. Easy to schedule online for appts. Honest and willing to show you why if something is wrong.

Raymond, the assistant manager, is an absolute pleasure. He was so kind and accommodating to not just myself but to every other customer that came into the store while I was waiting. The wait was a bit long, but the store was extremely busy, so I was understanding.

Got me in same day for a headlight that needed repair before I could go out of town. The headlight I brought them to put in (led) did not end up fitting, but they were able to order me a headlight in the same day so I got my car back with all my lights working!

I had an appointment with a different Mavis by mistake, but after calling to check this Mavis penciled me in day of. Staff was friendly and walked me through what they were doing with my car and what needed to be done. Thanks guys!

Bought tires on Amazon and had Mavis install them. No hidden charges, not pushy with extra services. I was ready for a battle but I got out on time and for the price quoted. Great!

Lady behind the counter in a very rude and in the wrong profession. They are scam artist. They quote a price and then almost double it. Caught them in a lie today. They quoted us 550 on the phone and once we get there, she tried to tell us almost 900$ and that it’s almost 300$ in taxes that you don’t quote on phone and 200 for wheel alignment, but yet, I just called and spoke to this rude lady and she tells me all nice 109.99 plus we have. Ten dollar off coupon … so please explain that? This company is a joke and has customers pay under the table for work and they pocket the cash. Never se mavis in NEW YORK. AGAN

Absolutely DO NOT recommend! Literally came here spent almost $1,000 for the problem i came for to not be fixed. Super frustrating and took up my whole day! While I was here few other ppl were complaining of their cars as well. The Caucasian chick at the front desk is nice but I don’t care about customer service when the quality of the work doesn’t match!

We have been taking our cars here for years. We always have a positive experience. They are trustworthy and pleasant to work with. I also appreciate the hassle-free way they honor their warranty. I highly recommend!

The staff was attentive and greeted me with a smile as soon as I walked. The gentlemen knew what exactly I needed for my tire and went right to work. The work was done in 15-20 minutes. I had a great experience and I will be returning to give them my business. I recommend Mavis Discount Tires located on Mt. Hope in Rochester, Ny to anyone with tires issues.

Excellent service! The service was great the people there were courteous and kind and they help me and they talk to me and told me everything that I needed to know about my car I gave them five stars because they are number one in my book

I got a flat tire around 3: 00PM and it was fixed by 4: 00PM. Super nice people and willing to work with me. Put the donut back in my car and I was on my way. The call center guy was not good, that’s my only complaint.

By far the best tire service in the city. Respectful, clean, helpful, fast, and effective. Great crew. Would absolutely recommend for further service.

Very unprofessional I took my car here to get checked out I got it back with a problem I didn’t have before I brought a bunch of fake mechanic took my car here to get a oil change they didn’t even change the filter I wouldn’t recommend bringing your car here and the white girl behind the desk has a lot of mouth very rude

Been going for years and highly recommend. Very professional and reliable. They don’t talk down to you like other places. Being able to sign up for appointments online is very convenient. Also they have a waiting room so you don’t have to get a ride somewhere else to wait. 5 out of 5 stars!
