Irish Pub McCoys reviews
16Literally a hole in the wall, everything was just amazing, perfect place to have a drink with friends
Authentic Irish pub. The Guinness is the best I've had outside of Ireland and fair prices by NY standards.
Website lists they have a happy hour 7 days a week until 7 pm. Went and they said they don’t do a happy hour. So instead of the $5 draft they advertised it’s actually $9. So shady…
Didn't eat, but bartender was enjoyable. Kena was a good time. Recommend stopping in for a drink while in the area!
Nice atmosphere. They make their Irish Coffee with real cream, it is fantastic. Like many said, the owner Paul is friendly but I’ll add he is also entertaining to watch. Bartender is very friendly also. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in Hells Kitchen.
This was a random selection on a rainy day,
Perfect atmosphere for talking business,
Comfy bar and comfy booths, clean and nice selection of brews, I recommend the McCoys blend, it was a smooth beer, and nice home brew.
First time here on a rainy day,
Would definitely come again.
Hope it helps.
Great Irish Pub. Friendly quick service with a smile. They’ve got several TV’s throughout to watch your favorite team play.
Bring your own food. There’s no kitchen here so they can focus on what’s important: the beer and the booze
Unfortunately the bartender here was racist. She also insisted that i couldn’t use the restroom without ordering a drink and paying in cash first.
Jeanette was AMAZING. Our show was canceled, so we stopped in to reroup for the evening. While drowning our sorrows our flight home the next day was canceled as well. Jeanette and a local (Alex) made my wife and I feel like we were home. Great staff and amazing clientele. Best bar in town!
McCoys Pub was around the corner from our hotel. We sat there every day and enjoyed ourselves. It turns out to be one of the oldest pubs here, fortunately with young staff.
Delicious beer on tap, so definitely recommended!
Avoid at all costs. We saw on their website and online that they were serving pints on draft at Happy Hour from 4pm to 7pm all week. The four of us arrived at 4: 30 and had two rounds of pints but we were charged $72. When we asked the owner whether it should be happy hour prices, he said they don't do happy hour and didn't know what we were talking about, but quickly changed his answer after we pointed out that it was advertised outside his own bar!
He then claimed that they do have select drafts for happy hour but only for a select few of the listed drafts. When we pointed we had one of the listed drafts, he then said it has to be the 5.35% not the 5.34% and then walked away! Man was clearly taking advantage of tourists by being selective with what drafts counted or not. A complete rip off
Always true to itself as a dive in Irish bar. Sports, people, affordable drinks for the area. Amazing for.when u want to go drink after work if u work on the area or hanging with ur Irish Boys and girl. Well anyone is welcome. I'm African and American too and the black Irish lol
Black everything!
Relaxed bar with friendly customers and staff who made me feel very welcome as a tourist in their city. Best pint of Guinness I had on my trip to New York by a long shot!
Old school dive in Irish bar. U don't find many of these in the city anymore. Irish whiskey driven bat stock. Small bur long and chill. TV playing sport, time square vibe. All about the prices anta that liquor.
I asked for some water (my friend really needed it) after closing my tab on a Saturday night. The bartender said no and walked away. I laughed at first because I thought he was joking, but eventually realized he was serious. I waited 5 minutes and asked again. He rudely dismissed me.
