On 1/11 I began feeling sick and went to get a Covid test here. I took a Rapid and PCR (which they took 5 days to get to me only after I finally called and asked) and both tests were negative. Now, I think I have a throat infection or cold of some sort. That weekend, (1/15) I get a covid test at my normal doctor and i was positive for covid. By now, I’m feeling better and was surprised that I tested positive.

Yesterday morning (1/19) after a few days, feeling better and normal, I came to get a COVID test and I was turned away by the medical assistant bc I tested positive that weekend even though I tried explaining my situation.

A policy is a policy but I do think that’s it’s odd and it would have been nice to know beforehand. If you’re in a similar situation, don’t waste your time or $2.75 subway far going here. Otherwise, testing if pretty fast if it’s it’s not busy and the place is clean.

I was one of the first people at the door by 9AM and they served 6 other people BEFORE me. I went up several times today to ask and they told me to keep waiting. I will NEVER come back here absolutely wasted my time and served other people before me and then forgot I was right in front of them. It’s now been one hour.

Go to the other city medrite in cobble hill. That one actually sees you in the ORDER you came.

Very kind and patient staff. We were in a rush to get our results and all three representatives we spoke to (Louis, Marcus and Ike) were all very helpful and responsive.

Efficient and friendly staff for different types of COVID tests, no appointment needs, I haven't encountered a long wait. Staff follows all safety and protection procedures. The results are securely sent through text message and email, with easily downloadable PDFs. I had to also go in for urgent care due to having cold/flu symptoms, the nurse asked thoroughly with all the necessary questions and made sure understanding all my responds. To be sure, they did both 2 different types of Covid test and flu test on the spot. The doctor/PA came in not long after to spend a good amount of time to diagnose my situation, and provide possible solution options while wait for the test results. Once all tested negative, the doctor/PA walked me through how to treat my symptoms and remind to follow up if symptoms not going away. I just walked out after, no need to spend time at the front desk to follow up on payment/cost, etc.

Visited here on Oct 28 and the Nurse Practitioner that I saw was either unskilled, or lacked adequate knowledge of how to test for BV. She used a speculum to test me for BV (doesn’t make sense) and during the procedure she kept shoving it right in and I felt as though I was being assaulted. It was a traumatic experience and I decided to go straight to the ob/gyn after rather than getting tested from someone who didn’t know what they were doing

I’ve been getting tested here since the beginning of COVID and they are always super efficient. As the holidays are rapidly approaching, my results kind of got delayed but a Nina at Medrite really helped me out and I’ll be able to catch my ride home because of it. So thank you!

I've been here twice for COVID-19 testing. Wait times can be a bit long, but that's to be expected anywhere when tests are in such high demand. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and each time I've gone testing has been free for me and covered by insurance (unlike some clinics that will try to charge hundreds of dollars). If you have some time to wait in line, MedRite is a great place to get tested.

The staff at this MedRite are so, so lovely. Came in needing an x-ray and despite being super busy with a line around the corner for COVID-19 testing they were quick, speedy and so kind. They're not trying to run up your bill either - strong and honest service. Hopefully you don't have to come to urgent care, but if you you're in good hands.

People at the clinic were nice and they made an effort to address some of the communication issues mentioned in other reviews. Someone comes out and tells you to preregister and sets expectations that it's a walk in and that there will be a wait. They even gave out handwarmers which is nice.

Their results notification system doesn't seem to be working though. I wasn't emailed or texted my results. Texting "result" to the 908-medrite number and filling out the 'lost results' form also does not work. You should wait on hold on the phone for a person to help. I waited maybe 20 minutes which is faster than I expected it would take.

Figuring this out was a little stressful. But I guess they're under a lot of pressure right now.

Most of the glowing reviews of this place concern the staff being respectful, professional, and kind - and while that is all true, it just shows how low the bar has become for COVID testing facilities. The rest of the experience - my experience, at least - was pretty miserable. First, I spent 5 hours on line before my testing was finally administered. To be sure, a long wait was inevitable given the Omicron surge, but the infuriating part was how incredibly slowly the line moved. When I arrived at 12: 45pm, there were about 70 people in line ahead of me. The line moved at an astonishingly slow pace, which made little sense given how fast the actual test is, but it was even more incomprehensible when I finally reached the end of the line and realized there were at least 3 medical assistants administering these tests. How could it possibly have taken 5 hours to process 70 people with three administrators? That question will haunt me for weeks. In any event, I paid $225 for the fast-result PCR test, which was finally administered at 5: 30. It's now 3.5 hours later, and I received an email containing a "transcription" from Med-Rite with a zip file attached, but the file is password-protected and I have not received a password. Yes, I've checked my junk mail. I called their phone number and was on hold for an hour before i just gave up. I filled out the online inquiry, but have received no response other than an auto-reply. It seems I won't be getting the same-day results that I paid so handsomely for. Very disappointed.

Don’t count on them for PCR testing. Spent two hours in line waiting to get a test to visit my parents who are at risk. After a week of waiting and using their online portal like they ask I finally called and spoke to a receptionist. I was told that I would have to come test again and wait another 4-6 days for results, because somehow they had an issue with my sample. Don’t bother calling to let me know of course. Complete waste of time.

It's been 7 days and I still haven't received my PCR test results. I would otherwise give a higher rating. The staff are excellent, as is the facility. Waited around an hour in line to get my COVID test and a staff member checked people in. Received my rapid test results within a couple of hours (as advertised).

This is my go-to. Very efficient check in process, nice people, pretty fast turnaround even for PCRs (crazy omicron wave a little slower obvs) and never any shady billing (looking at you, Northwell)

This medrite location is the only testing site I have been to - and I have been to many - that skillfully handles daunting volume and stressed customers. They kept it moving and I got my results on Christmas day in under an hour.
Danelly the medical assistant was particularly helpful and kind. I have a 76 year old father with medical issues so I was particularly grateful for the high level service on xmas day.

All I can say is WOW! The wait time was extremely long but from the time I walked in and walked out what a phenomenal experience. If I can give this place 10 stars I would. The Medrite in park slope is one of a kind. They have free water & lollipops. The Medical Assistants are also very nice and trained well. The Medical Assistant I encountered on the date of my visit greeted me with respect, smile, and I must say she is very delightful to be around, (for that time being) with a bubbly personality. I am a nurse, so I watched everything she did just to ensure accuracy. She is well trained and knowledgeable! She answered my questions very professionally and that lead to me asking her background. (HR / Nursing) I told her she will make a great nurse one day and the 2 hr travel to Brooklyn, I would never do shows her dedication and commitment. Hopefully she sees this I believe her name is mellisa her hair is long.

I visited your facility Sun Dec 12, and had the pleasure of receiving care from Chantel. What an amazing, professional, courteous & empathetic staff you have. She is an asset to your organization.
Kind Regards, Romana Gabriel.

Avoid this place for Covid-testing and walk-ins by all costs. Disorganized and misleading. I have been there twice now and they don't do a good job about disseminating information and setting expectation. Its really confusing as there is no signage and hardly anyone comes out to inform the queue.

Terrible experience the first time - I couldn't complete the pre-registration on my phone, but no attendant came out to tell people to register. I had to wait until I was at the front of the line to do it at the desk - but they put you in a queue based on the registration so got bumped and waited an extra hour (seeing all these people behind me in line get attended to first) The front desk attendant that day was unhelpful.

Second time, i thought I picked a time slot but it's meaningless, it's just a line. I waited in the cold for an hour to get a rapid and pcr test. Listen, that's fine that's the policy but it should be clear that that is what is it. Also the rapid test results never came in the promised time slot and the office is closed now.

So this place along with other urgent care places, just get to do whatever they want. How can you tell sick people after waiting for almost an hour, that they cannot be seen? ! It’s madness and insanity to think that’s ok. What are you there for? To just do covid testing and give shots that don’t work. Shame on you!

Was charged by insurance for an "office visit" after receiving COVID testing at this location.
