Medved Running & Walking, Rochester NY

The brand I like no longer makes my preferred running shoe so to get them I have to scour the internet. By some miracle, Medved had a pair in stock in my size. I ordered shoes online and they shipped almost immediately. I asked a question with my order and got a lovely response via email and hand written note in my order (Thank you, Elizabeth!). I am beyond pleased with the shoes and my experience with Medved. I will be ordering from this store again.

The sales person took his time and checked my feet on a machine. Was very polite and had multiple selections to pick from with a set of orthotics.

I'm not a runner, and just wanted sturdy sneakers with well cushioned interiors. 3 options were presented, and I liked 1 a lot for both looks and feel. They didn't have in in my color preference, so they arranged to have a factory-direct shipment at no charge. I got it 3 work days later. I'm very pleased with the shopping experience and the sneakers.

Excellent selection of footwear and running gear. The staff was very knowledgeable and listened to my issues and pointed me in the right direction to hopefully help correct it.

I really hope my experience is not the norm. The person "helping" me was unable to answer any product questions that I had. I was rather taken aback at this based on experience at other local specialty running stores. Watching and listening to the two other customers with staff assisting them it was a completely different experience that what I had. If the person assisting me was new it would have been completely understandable if they asked more experienced staff for help in answering my questions and I would have happily waited. Ended up buying a shoe I had researched. Buying local is great but I don't feel that I got any benefit from the experience to off set the wasted travel and time instead of just buying online.

High end running store with plenty of quality walking/hiking shoes as well. They have a treadmill and a track to try things out. Salesperson was very knowledgeable and helpful. They will order things for you if needed

Staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. You can just tell they are deeply passionate about running. They helped fit my girlfriend for a running shoe and helped me identify the issue with my running form that was causing me ankle soreness instead of just trying to sell me a shoe. These guys are the best when it comes to everything running, I can't recommend them enough!

Don't know of anywhere I'd rather go to get running shoes! The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly, and I loved the process of carefully measure my feet, running on a treadmill, and running laps in multiple pairs of shoes. I was able to get a pair of shoes that I love and that are perfect for my running situation!

Knowledgeable staff! Had a 3D image taken of my feet to determine pressure points while resting and walking and then measurements were taken. I was shown 3 different shoes that reflected my needs and found my “winner”. No high pressure selling, and I walked away from the runner’s store with a great fitting and comfortable pair of shoes!

HUGE Shout Out to MedVed! I just started running again about 2 months ago and had been feeling quite a bit of foot pain as well as shin splints.they hooked me up and resolved my issues. The staff at Medved always take the time to make sure you receive the shoes that are perfect for your feet and needs. I was originally referred here by my podiatrist several years ago. They have never let me down!

This visit I scheduled a fitting appointment ahead of time, but they always give you the attention you need. He took the time to explain the different features and what they do to support your feet and correct your stride. They have a machine that scans and analyzes your feet.

Although they specialize in outfitting runners, they take care of everyone. I highly recommend and will be back!
