MEKKAH MART MEDITERRANEAN SUPERMARKET reviews
21Just discovered this gem. I can always find fresh fruits and veggies, some I've tried for the first time. Great way to explore diversity through my palate. I recommend venturing here.
Dishonest i bought a case of poland spring the plastic was ripped i assumed it was on accident when i got home all the waters in the middle were deer park only the one u could see were Poland spring
Very good helpful staff. My sister wants arjiees. She doesn't want to make them though.its so hard to find.does anyone know where they are in stock? We really want these.
I was standing by the deli ready to order.nobody help me they said the deli person is in the back cleaning the fridge we can’t help you right now the owner told me to come back tomorrow i’ll take my money to Paterson New Jersey
Reasonable prices for good quality products. Superb staff. Kind and professional service. Parking lot is kinda small but I guess that will be fixes soon. The inside of the shop is ok but can use a bit of remodeling and more space. But overall this is a very good shop.
I love Mekkah Mart! I always find hidden gems of Mediterranean delicacies here, and I don't have to travel far to get there.
Delicious hot food to go, as well. Excellent quality produce, and exotic dairy products including different cheese.
Great market.to go in staten island. You can find basic middle eastern and south asian foods but not many Turkish food.the butcher section is great always full and clean. Butcher service is excellent and always attending to your needs
My mom bought 100$ worth of grocery, she bought two jars of mkhalel. My mom did not know the jars have one month to expire because she can not read. Once she opened one of them after a week, it smelled and tasted nasty. I tried to return or exchange both of the jars, but one of the cashier asked for the receipt and obviously we do not have it despite the fact both jars are marked with their price tag. The cashier told us the manager is not there and she can not do anything about them. It was not the first time to get an expired product, another time was a grape leaf jar, sausage and " Halal meat" which is not even halal as they claim. Alot of their products are rotten and expired. Please people watch the dates and keep your receipt in case. We will never go back there to purchase anything.
We bought bread, cucumber pickles and labne as well as a can of stuffed grape leaves (no meat) prices are really good and i was shocked that their stuffed grapes tasted really good to a can. The bread is fresh and can go into freezer for may days. I will definitely go back to this middle eastern place to shop more groceries when needed.
The store is nice and has a lot of middle eastern products. I don't mean products made in the middle east but commonly used by middle eastern people. The halal meats are good as well, although I feel like I've seen better stores in Bay Ridge. The store has fruits and vegetables as well so I consider it an all-in-one place to go where I can just make one visit and buy all my weekly groceries.
This supermarket is amazing. I felt like I was in Egypt again. Love this place and will be a frequent visitor over here.
VERY rude, overpriced, sell rotten goods and hang up the phone on you when you try to talk to them. A employee of there told me there meats not even actually Halal. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DON'T GO THERE!
They are not honest, they put prices and you go to cashier you find it different, and when you complain they treat you like stupid
Check your reset before leaving the store
This place is the best example of the price gouging that our city got hit with since the pandemic. (Greedy owner) the best that I can describe, and the store is expensive compared with other Halal stores in NYC or on SI, and the place sometimes smells like rotten meat, and the store needs more improvement, and the owner should reconsider his appetite of greediness.
Horrible customer service.website says closes at 10 pm when I called at 840 the women on the phone says closing in 20 mins, when i got there at 845 the doors are locked and when the women that came to open the door was extremely rude and told me theu close at 830.so why lie on the phone and than literally slammed the door in my face when I asked to speak to someone.
Once I bought a few items from which a packet of bread sticks had a stale odor and the lentils literally had tiny bugs. Found their rates also quite higher.
Best place to get fresh meat. Also, this store is a one-stop shop for grocery. They have everything ranging from fresh produce, vegetables, raw spices to frozen products. I would recommend the place for its huge variety of products and reasonable pricing.
When their ad kept popping up on facebook, i got curious. I wanted to see this place for myself, and i wasnt disappointed! They had an array of fresh vegetables and meat products. I was on cloud nine! I just wish they had some Asian items too. But overall, i love this place!
One of the few halal places on Staten Island. Food is pretty good. Customer service can vary depending on how busy they are. I wish their groceries could be more reasonably priced though
After a long day of work I was quite hungry and the moment I stepped foot into the market the smells and colors told me I was right where I needed to be. I ordered the shawarma platter along with a meat pie and a cheese pie. The flavors were incredibly delicious and they packed it so full that I had leftovers for the following day. The employees are friendly and helpful in the store is very well laid out with apple parking along with service from local bus routes. A short ride from 287 makes this a very worthwhile destination for some expertly prepared highly delicious foods. Enjoy!
