Met Food Hylan Blvd reviews
13The store is generally clean, and the workers are always working. Shelves are stocked well, and there's plenty of choices. Deli department is always moving its line and always attending.
Met Supermarket has a small parking lot with about 25 parking spaces. It could be a bit tight especially with large SUVs and pickup trucks. Inside is not that big, but everything is neat and clean. Despite the small size, it has everything you need, all national brands and their own brand. The deli has many ready made items and cold cuts. There are the fruit/produce, dairy, dry/canned goods, meat, seafood, deli and main grocery sections (did I forget any). Staff is very friendly and helpful. It feels more like family-run store/ business.
They have many items that I like
Parking lot is convenient.
Prices and selection is perfect for me.

They need a bakery in store they are very friendly and Helpful, cashier are great. I understand they need more room.this was my first experience going there.
Met Food Market give an impression of a Full Service Market but lacks Vegetable Stand of any Repute. It has limited Space for Essential Items, While being an Establishment on a Very Busy Road. Met Food should Extent their Vegetable Stand and Fruits Selection to a better Options than What they have in Store. There Shop should Cater to Area, Which is mostly Residential attached to a Commercial Busy Road of Hyland Boulevard.
The isles are just way to small it just about fits one person and you're cart. If someone is coming through the opposite side there's really no room to move aside. Poorly planned.
I had a great experience today at Met on 1177 Hylan Blvd. I am a senior, 66 yrs young. Manager Jimmy, cashier and staff was very friendly and very helpful. They listened and helped me with all of my needs. Even a few customers offered to help me put my groceries on the belt. Wonderful atmosphere. I will definitely continue to shop here monthly.
The cashier has bad morals, impatient, doesn't care about customers, especially a fat and ugly white woman
Update 2022: has a minor issue at the deli but the manager Jimmy reconciled it right away! I'm grateful for the change.
2020: I go past my local C-Town for this place. Even in this Quarantine time, everywhere charges full price for Everything. Met usually has some kind of sale on something, and the quality and selection of the produce is great! Fresh fish and seafood, nice bagels and bread what more can you want. It's small but still a wonderful selection of items. I love this store.
My neighborhood grocery store I come there all the time I tip sometimes when I have it very nice people
I’ve been going to this store for 10+ years. Since this location went under new management, things have gotten worse. They don’t care about customers anymore. Managers have a very nasty attitude. Things are never in for sale price. I’ve seen outdated items on the shelf and have brought it to cashiers attention. I went to buy groceries the other day and a few things were outdated, one was outdated since December of 2021. How do they still have things like this on the shelf. They train new cashiers often but can’t manage to have enough registers opened. Most of the times there is only one cashier on register. Some are sweet and greet you with a smile but others are sleeping at the register. I find it rude that one of them picked up call and didn’t acknowledge me. Very few help bag your groceries, for the cashiers that do help I thank you! Make sure to bring in your bags because they don’t do plastic bags. Reusable bags are sold but not worth paying for, they break easily.
A little more expensive than other supermarkets but they have just about everything you need jam packed into a neat, clean market that never has long lines.
Best seafood counter on the island.
