Metric Motors, Holmes NY

Took my vehicle 92 Bronco there for an alignment. I was told the adjustment sleeves were seized and they couldn’t adjust them without being replaced. I told them I would do the work myself (which I always do). They charged me $70 for nothing. I went home and the adjusters were not seized, they moved freely with a little effort.

We started using Metric Motors when we moved to Holmes 4 years ago. They are the absolute best from calling for an appointment straight through to picking up your car. Friendly, simple, no hassle, and extremely honest and reasonable! My only regret is I didn’t find them 30 years ago! Best automotive place ever!

The people at Metric Motors have taken care of all my cars for almost 20 years. Like many others who find themselves in the need to keep their cars going way past the time intended, Metric Motors have always been their to keep me rolling. They are fair priced and knowledgeable about all the different brand cars I have owned. I would recommend them highly.they also get the work done in a timely manner.

Honest and reliable! Work is always thorough and trustworthy. I enjoy coming here because they never try to sell me anything I don’t need - a stress free experience which is nice. Service advisors are straightforward and honest and also offer great coupons for oil changes and services! Will definitely be back for new tires when it’s time.

I had a good experience. I left my car for oil change and NYS inspection. They were very busy that morning, but the work was completed when I needed. Overall good experience!

Once again, Metric Motors made my visit worry free and a problem solved quickly! I had an issue with my front driver side brake or around the brake area. I explained what I thought it was and the noise coming from the area. A test drive confirmed the noise and it was quickly diagnosed as the backing plate bent into/ about ready to start rubbing into the disc brake. Less than an hour later, backing plate was corrected and the price was more than reasonable! Another great job done! I trust these folks and have been going to them for years with all my vehicles! Best place to go for any of your auto repair needs!

I took my truck to metric motors for the first time a little over a month ago. For transmission problems. Unfortunately, there was a lot more wrong with the truck then anticipated. Gregg, Arlene and Gina were amazing! Taking great care to make sure everything was 100% safe and reliable for me to get back to work. I cannot thank them enough. They my business from now on! I traveled over 40 minutes to get to Metric Motors and it was so worth it! They are honest!
They performed the inspection and advised me of issues (which I was aware of) that should be performed or that I should be aware of.my local garage, which has a good rating, was the complete opposite, stating I needed "unnecessary" work done at the tune of 1,000.00 in order to pass the inspection.
MM's feedback was spot on, they highlighted proposed work without holding it over me.
On top of that, the people are so friendly, helpful and supportive of your needs. The woman who checked me in is a superstar, so positive, upbeat, and attentive!
I highly recommend Metric Motors, even if you have to travel a fair distance to get there! It's WORTH it!

Since April I've used Metric Motors 3 times to perform full maintenance and inspection as well as new brakes and tires. And they performed thorough evaluation of my car and repaired any and all problems that they found. I have found the personnel very professional and friendly and the work is always done in a timely manner. I would recommend them to anyone who wants terrific car service. I trust their workmanship and feel safer driving in my car.

I used them today for the very first time, because I really needed a NYS inspection. I can't wait weeks for my usual mechanic. My family has used Metric numerous times for various things, some major, some minor, including work on a classic BMW, with no problems at all. I decided to get an oil change and tire rotation today while I was there, because I needed those. I called ahead, they said no appointments, no big wait, come on in. Two hours, inspection, oil change, engine and cabin air filters, rotation, and a thorough review of my car. They recommended rear brakes and a new battery, neither of which surprised me. I appreciate not being upsold, I have a pretty good idea of where my car is at. They didn't BS me. I was very pleased with their prompt and friendly service, and I will definitely return.

Arrived for an oil change and needed new brakes. They took care of me right away. I waited a short time and drove away knowing we would all be safe on our trip north. Metric is friendly, efficient, and they have a great set of mechanics! I trust them with my car.

I received a coupon by mail about this business. My car also was due for inspection and can use an oil change.
I sent in the car with my son after confirming that no appointment was needed. They made him feel comforted especially that it was his first encounter with mechanics, be him a new driver.
They did great job and was timely. The value of the service was great. They indicated that I can use a new battery but they were not pushy salespeople about it. It was their way of going over and above. I will use them again for sure.

PLEASE READ! To all parents coming there with kids. Don't use playground and litter playhouse next to building. There is big wasp nest.they attack my 4years old son and bite over 20times! He end up in ER luckily they helped him on time!
