8It’s now a men’s shelter and one of the best I’ve been to! Three meals a day, clean rooms and linen. They help you get back on your feet and even have programs that will aid you in finding a place that fits your budget. Conveniently located close to bus stop that drops you off right by the subway. Strongly recommend for any fellow male who’s down on their luck.
This hotel is presently being used as a womans homeless shelter. The hotel is very clean and the staff are very professional. As a woman losing her apartment and forced to go into the shelter system it can be very upsetting, stressful and exhausting but being here at the Metro Inn has made my situation tolerable and the staff has helped me in so many ways.
I've been here for the last 6months. It's now ran by the Department of Homeless Services. The amenities are still available. I have a 2bed Jr Suite. The staff is very helpful.
There is a terrible parking situation and no pull through for your vehicle to check in and drop off bags. There are no ice/vending machines on each floor. No microwaves. Let's get to the breaker of this hotel. The sound that could be helped. The Room doors slam shut AND the fire exit doors. So if you are close to a fire exit door, they have a security gaurd who does rounds twice an hour through the night wee morning hours and lets the the door SLAM behind them. So as soon you start to drift back to potential sleep. BAM.door slams. If you are anything other than a heavy sleeper, I would be very weary of this hotel. Coffee is average at best and it's bag breakfasts.
Room was clean. Bed was comfortable.
Perfect for for one night transit through JFK. They have airport shuttle in the morning from 5am every hr.
Comfort inn at JFK was definitely comforting and cozy. Good rooms, excellent bathroom and very clean. Staff was very amiable. Would stay here again definitely!
It was a nice new hotel …. But the new comfort inn near jfk is in front of the sanitation Depot. DO NOT OPEN THE WINDOW. Winter time it may be ok
