Mia Halal Food reviews
38 7/10/21: This place is becoming like any other rip off business. Prices have increased for a mix over rice to nearly $13 and now the sauces are in containers so you cannot have the amount you would normally have added freehand. They are charging for extra sauces now, mind you they have increased their prices and reduced quantity. Definitely turning this place into a last resort spot now.
8 months ago: Good food, especially when you're out late, however the pricing regarding paying almost $11 for a mixed platter and then being charged per extra sauce is kind of absurd to be honest.
The food is very nasty and they have lots of mice and roaches inside of the restaurant. Please do not eat from this place it very unsanitary and the workers are very rude.
WARNING: If you're a regular here, they suddenly increased the price of chicken over rice to $9.25. If you're used to paying cash to avoid tax, they don't do that anymore either. I used to be able to walk in with a $10 bill and receive $. 50 back but now you need $10 and change. I recommend you don't spend your money here anymore and go somewhere else more worthwhile because the price isn't worth it anymore. The chicken has lowered in quality and quantity, but the price goes up? Makes no sense, forget about this place. If you want great halal food, try Shah's halal cart on 121st St.and Liberty Ave. Their food tastes way better, smells way better, and costs less.
Chicken wings extra salty told the cashier basically ignored me an laughed. Was told its not made at site so she has no control over it it's just preheated upon request.
The food is good but the price just keeps going up and if you call they put you on hold and forget your ever there. Happend to me twice and then I called while standing outside and saw that they just gave preference to the 2 people inside and forgot about the call! Again! Like I said good food just needs to fix some issues!
It’s good food but dam yo for the price being so expensive and on top of that u have to pay for all the sauces now. Before the use to give all the sauces from the bottle now u have to pay for small containers.
What the hell type of sandwich is this? Chicken wasn’t even fully fried. Never ordering from here again.
Such a huge rip off! Pricey for such a low portion of food! It was better before now its just a waste of money. Get it together mia and stop being cheap with the portions.
Worst place to work.called for training for 2 days without paid back to back for almost 11hrs a day.he didn’t disclose any hourly rate.when being asked for payment he still wanted work for days without paid for determining how much to pay.and asked us to sign us 100 documents for penalties for late coming, 1 month notice before leaving job etc.definitely calling DoL about it
Food is great but I’m giving 3 stars because they are overpriced and they give u food that will feed a child. They raised their prices and cut down on the food. I don’t mind paying more but give me my moneys worth.
I'll never eat there again! The Platt cost $10 plus tax then I found out that they put 75% rice 15% salad 10% meat
They never get order correctly.
They charged me 2.50 cents for each can soda.
They forgot one item.
Charged me 1.50 plus tax for water.
Charged me 1 for extra sauce.
BEST halal food in Queens! Their chicken over rice is flawless and their prices is good! They got seats to sit down and I respect them because their food is always FRESH and spicy! The only thing I hate is how it’s so hot in their restaurant. But otherwise, it’s a good place for fresh halal food.
Nice place to have delicious food and good thing is its Halal. Prices are reasonable, fish, chicken, lamb all are delicious.
The best Halal food I’ve ever had! I’m from New Jersey, when I’m in the area this is the TO GO SPOT to eat. Hands down, no Halal food in Jersey can be compared to this place!
I always get the lamb gyro and it hasn't failed me yet. Clean place to eat and the price is decent.
Poor quality food Very bad taste. Everything is overpriced. Soda can is 1.25 +tax. Don’t accept credit card.
Yoooooo omg this food is the best. Open late, friendly staff, actually spicy hot sauce, cold drinks, economic, and great food once again. Probably eat here once a week, just call ahead of time with your order and you dont have to wait around for your food. Mia, whoever you are, thank you thank you thank you for bringing your great food into my neighborhood.
Who ever picked the call put me on hold so that he can talk to some girls (asking them if they guessed his nationality). Never got back to my line. That’s how u serve customers?
Extremely poor customer service. While I respect that the restaurant closes for prayers during Ramadan; it's frustrating to be waiting past that time while they are clearly not praying. Otherwise, the food is decent.
