Michaels, Rensselaer NY

Be careful if you do curbside pickup and have an electronic trunk door. An employee just force closed my wife's power tailgate after asking us if he should closed it, to which we clearly and audibly said "no, we have got it". This could result in over $1000 in damage and repair costs. Michaels, please train your employees to look for a button to close tailgates and listen to a customer's answer when you ask a question.

Michael's has tons of craft stuff. Yarn, paint frames, markers, you-name-it. Also smells really good inside, like a cinnamon delivery truck crashed and spilled all its contents.

I would like to give a direct shout out and kudos to employee Liz, who handled a very tough situation well during the week of January 17 -21 (I can't remember the exact day). It's hard to have a line of people, be dealing with a difficult customer, and simultaneously experience additional shenanigans while keeping your cool - and she did it! Good job, Liz!

I have purchased over 100 frames of various sizes in 2 years of framing Poster Art. Mostly I order them online and pick them up. Most of the employees know me by sight due to my frequent trips to the store. As with any business, the quality of people is possibly what sets it apart from the others. This location is without competition, as to the employees who work for this company. I have been to the other stores and this one in my opinion stands alone.

Very helpful and friendly staff who stopped what she was doing to take us to where the item was we were looking for. Unfortunately they didn't have exactly what we wanted. However, we did see a couple items that caught our eyes. One was a mouse nutcracker that you could paint and decorate yourself.one was missing the nose so we decided it might not be good to buy for our granddaughter.choking hazzard for her little brother possibly.
We saw some other finished nutcrackers that caught our eyes.our son in law collects them.we started looking at them and discovered many with missing pieces, body parts falling off.again decided not to buy.
In short, the store was neat and the staff wad great, but the merchandise quality (what we saw) was very poor, especially for the prices on items.

Limited stock due to the small store. Okay for the basics, but better off ordering on line rather than going there looking for specifics.

How disappointing to discover yarn was buy 1 get 1 half off on my receipt when cashier said absolutely nothing about this sale. Poor customer service in my opinion.

I always find what I need at Michael's. And they always give excellent customer service!

Store was very clean, but I got disappointing news: the framer is leaving her position this month! She is excellent and knows her stuff. Hope they can find an experienced replacement

The store is always well organized. Employees are very friendly and attentive. Great selection in every department

They had what I wanted and check out was very quick and efficient all in all a good experience.

I really like this store, they have a lot of beautiful things. The only problem I seem to have when I'd like to use a coupon it's never on any item that I need or want. Their coupons don't work on sale items which supposedly are on sale

Overall my visit was pleasant. Customer care was great. I wish they had what I was looking for tho.

It was clean and your typical Michael's, but they are pushy to get you that store card.
