Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Binghamton reviews
13 Website was very misleading.
Low level hotel.
No amenities.
Everything pared down.
Lumpy pillows, very loud heating /air conditioner
Plastic chairs,
On busy Interstate, no sound abatement on windows.
Hardly slept.
Positive:
Clean
Y are hotels charging so much for room and getting cheap on breakfast. U get better service and breakfast from cheaper hotels
I'm a bit disappointed, the 1st floor smelled of dogs combined with strong air fresheners.
The breakfast was poor, the entire hotel was poor
The day before, we also slept in a Microtel in another city and it was much better there.
The staffs are super friendly and kudos to housekeeping team for doing a wonderful job. I was staying in twin beds room good enough for family of four, it was kept Spick and span. Simple and nice choice of breakfast food. Highly recommend this place.
This was our first stay at a Microtel Inn and Suites. We booked a "quadruple room". Inn was only a few streets over from I-81 South. So sadly there was a lot of traffic noise. (Hotel accepts pets. We did not have any, but saw quite a few. Surprisingly didn't hear any barking.) Room was large with 2 comfy queen beds, with enough room around both sides, and 4 pillows each. (Pillows not that great i.e. Kind of lumpy, I like really soft/down pillows.) Everything was very clean and smelled good. There was a 5 foot cushioned window seat, a small wardrobe with iron and ironing board, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and supplies. Liked the 6 foot desk with cubby holes underneath and outlet built in front right hand side. Soft lighting mostly and no desk lamp, flat screen TV, good private bathroom but very little vanity space. There was an open set of narrow shelving offset over toilet. Hot buffet breakfast, fitness center and guest laundry close to 2nd floor elevator was really appreciated! There is also a mini mart pen on-site 24/7, with snacks, drinks, frozen meals, ice cream, etc.
Nice. Clean. We were upset at the lack of a swimming pool. Breakfast was limited but OK and breakfast area like the rooms and common areas were very clean.
Newport RI long warf. Canceled our reservations 6 hours prior to check in with out an option from them. We had reservations for 7 months and pre-paid for one night as a deposit. Called a couple of days prior to confirm. Will never use a Wyndham for anything
Clean organized convenient
The room was cozy a bit small but had lots of storage
The staff were really friendly.
Wonderful palce where to stay between Nyc and Niagara Falls. Clean, close to walmart, easy to enter the highway, nothing to ask more.
I found the hotel to be conveniently located. [Walmart is just a hop/skip away for last minute needs] The building and the rooms were clean, internet was easily accessed and provided high end connectivity. Elevator worked smoothly too. It has in-room air/heat and I see some found the gentle hum of the unit to be disconcerting, I barely noticed it. Beds were incredibly comfortable which is always something I look for in lodging.
Rooms were very clean. Front desk worker was far too talkative for my liking but was helpful when I was having issues with my TV.
The lobby and bottom hallway had a faint smell/odor of marijuana. I'm a severe asthmatic and I was constantly needing medication to open my airways back up.
I travel with a service dog and I tend to always call ahead just to make staff aware. I had to sign a pet policy despite the ADA law stating that I am not required to. I wasn't charged a pet fee (which is part of the law).
The room itself was very clean and modern. Everything was in working order.
Continental breakfast was nice and had good selection of food. Coffee available all day was nice too.
WiFi was spotty, and kept kicking me off and constantly having to log in was a little irritating.
Location of the hotel was easy to get to and multiple stores and restaurants are not very far away.
Overall, a nice place to stay, but I would have enjoyed it a little more if the lobby didn't stink to bad of marijuana.
