Horrible garage. Old cars that's run down. They need all new cars. I drove for them for years. Don't know who gives this place 5 stars. I tried to give no stars. They don't like me because I tell the truth.

They have the oldest fleet of taxis in the city of New York, the average age of the fleet is 10 years old.

This is a true NY story. On Memorial Day weekend I had taken a taxi from the Upper West Side to Grand Central Station. When I got onto the train I realized I no longer had my phone with me. I had no idea if it had fallen out of my pocket somewhere in the rush to the train, it had been stolen, or when I lost it. When I got to my destination I check Find My IPhone and saw the phone traveling around Midtown-so I'd guessed it was in the back of the taxi I'd taken. I did NOT have the receipt (argh), and given it was the holiday weekend, all the TOC offices were closed. As a last resort I filled out an online lost and found form on the TLC site. About 6 days later I got a call from Ms. Ramos, a very helpful and kind agent at the lost and found asking me to verify pickup and drop off location. She then tracked it to a taxi that was registered to this garage-The Midtown Operating Corp, connected me through and The manager there Jonathan got on the phone and verified they had my phone! I was traveling and they kept the phone safely there for almost 10 days until I got back into town and could pick it up. The guys at the garage were just as warm, friendly, organized and helpful-and they reunited me with my phone in 5 minutes. So many good and helpful people at every step of the way-the driver, Ms. Ramos, Jonathan and his team. If you've lost something in a cab-don't give up! Those are real, compassionate and honest folks who want to get you what is yours. This is what I love about NY. It is filled with good people with big hearts. Thank you to Midtown Operating Corp! You guys are amazing.

They were amazing. I left my wallet in the back of the cab and somehow they found me, gave me a call and I got it back with everything there. Amazing!
