The staff was incredibly friendly and was so nice and talkative with us, wishing us well. Best sushi spot in the area!

We randomly found this place while visiting Brooklyn and let me tell you, it didn’t disappoint. We ended up having delicious sake with unique sushi creations. The tuna tart was decadent as an appetizer with the taco sushi, then we took rolls that were truly fresh and well balanced in flavours. We ended up taking with the owner for an hour as he shared with us his background from Japan and gave us so many tips and recommendations for our upcoming trip to Japan. The overall experience was memorable. We will definitely be back!

We visited Mikado randomly due to its ambiance when we were in the neighborhood. We love their humble decor and tableware in Japanese style.

We got Karaage, Braised Beef Short Ribs & Miso Black Cod to share and Teriyaki Chicken Lunch Set for our daughter. The lunch set came with Miso Soup and handroll which was a really good deal.

Their Miso Black Cod looked impressively beautiful with small portion but great taste. The skin was crispy and the texture of the meat was soft.

Their Braised Beef short Ribs were impressively delicious. The meat was extremely soft and easily off the bone. We also loved the flavorful and appetizing sauce so much.

Just ordered delivery and I’m very happy with the quality. The 4 roll maki set was really good and great serving. The Mikado deluxe set was delicious but the nigiris were on the smaller side, so probably won’t order that again. But overall really good sushi

Ordered delivery and this was the most disgusting experience I have ever had ordering sushi I took a bite into my sushi and found a fish bone. I really tried to ignore it but then I was eating other pieces that tasted old, flavorless, and slimy. Then when I was halfway into my meal I found a fish scale in one of my roll pieces. This was absolutely disgusting I wish I could get all my money refunded.

Great sushi, but very understaffed the day I went so half of my food took extremely long to come out and my unagi don came out cold. Hoping to come back once they settle in

I went to Mikado with friends for dinner with a craving for Japanese food and Mikado did not disappoint! We ordered so much food that we almost did not finish bc we were so full. We ordered a variety of dishes including hand rolls which were generous portions and my fave were the toro and scallop ones yum! We also ordered nigiri sushi and their starters selection was pretty impressive as well. My fave starters were the sushi taco and tuna tarts. If you’re looking for a spot with yummy Japanese food and shareable portions and pretty decor, Mikado is a great option. I’m salivating now and can’t wait to go back again!

OK! FINALLY Brooklyn Heights gets good sushi! I ordered delivery, and the presentation was BEAUTIFUL and the sushi was delicious. Worth every penny. So glad to have you in the hood now and can’t wait to come in for dinner!

The restaurant is of very quite and calm environment. Waiter was quick, warm and friendly. But my favorite part of this restaurant is the food which is delicious with a good portion at a reasonable price.

Takeout sushi and presentation very solid. Portions could be a little larger. Chopsticks nice enough to reuse

This hidden gem place is Stunning! It’s clean and cozy. Had 4 hand roll set for lunch. OMGshh best of the best! Definitely will come back again!

I went to a Mikado for lunch today and ordered a teriyaki chicken. It was absolutely delicious! The chicken thigh was grilled to perfection, tender and juicy, and the rich teriyaki sauce complemented it perfectly. The rice was also incredibly tasty, with each grain being plump and chewy I will definitely be coming back!

We stopped in for lunch and had a great experience. The sushi was great and the grilled octopus was definitely a highlight. We also enjoyed the truffle bacon fried rice. Atmosphere and service were great too!
