Milano Market reviews
14Very fresh. Excellent food in Yorkville. Great service. Take a sandwich to Central Park! Don't forget the cannoli!
Everything reviewers are saying about the staff being incredibly insolent, is absolutely true. I lived in this neighborhood for twenty years, the food USED to be great, the staff USED to be pleasant and made you feel welcome, but the food now is hit or miss, overpriced and sometimes downright gross. The staff is horrendously nasty. You get the feeling they resent customers and get a kick out of being rude without cause. They’re clearly used to getting away with treating people badly. Do yourself a favor and take your hard earned money to a business that treats customers with basic decency and takes pride in consistently serving good quality food. This is not that place…
Very rude attitude at the cashier. Pick-up order missing, got no apology. What’s the meaning of ordering in advance then?
If I can give a 0 I would. We experienced an Unprofessional Ghetto response from Amanda. According to there menu one of the sandwiches was made incorrectly.we called and spoke to Amanda (so called Manager) she stated she made the sandwich and that how it suppose to be. That is not what the menu read. So if I want another sandwich I can place the order for another sandwich but would be charged for it. All I wanted was an even exchange of the sandwich and this SALAMADER did not care for what I had to say.we are an office of 12 employees and we will not be ordering from them again.lost our business.very unprofessional
It’s unfortunate when you have to write off a place you would otherwise like to keep supporting. Today, I ordered two sandwiches and the “Prime Sandwich” was inedibly chewy. I called to request a credit and after about five minutes, the person found the order and transferred me to Angela, who said she was a manager and owner. Angela insisted I had to email a picture proving that something was wrong with the sandwich. I said it’s not clear to me that “inedibly chewy” comes across in pictures. Basically, she treated me as though I was trying to get a free sandwich. I brought the entire sandwich to the store where she inspected it and declared nothing to be wrong. I said, “you didn’t try to eat it. ”
I got the credit, but it’s clear I would not have if I wasn’t physically there. I’ve bought in person and by app at least 40 times from this place. When your sandwich disgusts you the last thing you want is to be challenged for trying to steal a meal.
Stick to their sandwiches. Cookies are insanely expensive and not at all good. We paid $24 for 12 cookies. I expected at least San Ambroeus level good, and they were tasteless, stale, clearly not fresh, and nowhere near San Ambroeus. Sandwiches are great. What can I say. You live. You learn.
Really annoying as they say they close at 9 and then basically shut everything down thats fresh 30 min early. Just close at 830 then.
Came on a recommendation, will not be back. Like some other reviewers mentioned, there is rude staff and overpriced food. Can get better customer experience and same quality products at other shops in Bay Ridge (Brooklyn Market, Paneantico, Gigis, etc). Avoid.
Extremely tasty sanwiches. Very quick. Large selection of meals. Variety of food-stuff, from imported meats/cheeses to roated peppers, are also sold.
I don’t have much of a reason to go to UES since I moved out of town but I always stop by Milano’s when in NY. The fresh breads are great but have an amazing specialty sandwich. I used to stop by regularly for a simple freshly roasted turkey slices and Swiss cheese hero but it was so fresh! Also, great cheese and meats and side dishes.
Great local deli with a variety of different food items you can pick up to go along with your meal.
First time ordering from this location. Delivery was as usual nothing can be done about that. Ordered the Quattro sandwich and Hot Stuff sandwich of their signature sandwiches menu you could also customize your sandwich as well. Everything was great nothing to complain about. Will try some of their other menu items that are not sandwiches next time. Will try go into store though to look at their cookies and other breads and deserts that they have limited choices online.
Milanos is the ultimate supreme when it comes to sandwich shop delis. This place is worth the wait! The sandwich artists are amazing and food is bar none.
