MINE Craft Sushi 峰寿司 reviews
12The appetizer is really good sushi, shishito garlic as well as miso soup. However, I am very disappointed in all the waiter and the manager. One of my friends order the soba noodle with the seafood tempura, the picture shows that the noodle is the soba noodles, not the udon noodle. Yet, when the food came out it became the udon noodle. When we asked the waiter why does the food come out with the udon, he just simply reply that the soba noodle is no more. He could just inform us in the beginning so we will have a chance to get acknowledged first. Then, we asked the same waiter whether we can cancel the noodle, and he said yes. At the end when we ask for a check in the check there is a menu that we have already canceled. The waiter said that if we are canceling the food we have to pay for it, but he did not mention it to us when we ask for canceling the food. Then the manager came in and does not willing to cancel that menu in the check. When we explain what had happened he kept on laughing at us and we did not know what it is funny about. He did not believe what we have told him and he wanted to see the menu to confirm that we are lying or not. He continued laughing at all times, we feel awful and disrespectful. Very disappointed. Will not come back here again.
Modern sushi joint focused on flavor blasts to the taste buds. Rare find for veggie lovers (zucchini and nori cream sushi proves that avocado is so passe) while the spicy tuna kicks up the Farenheit. Looking forward to exploring the menu in future visits. Was able to get in without a reservation on a Saturday night, despite it feeling packed.
Absolutely delicious food and a lovely atmosphere! A real treat, I'm definitely coming back here again the next time I'm craving fancy sushi - would recommend 10/10
Great atmosphere but the food is okay. Beside the look of sushi (square), which is very interesting, the taste is better than I thought.
Hear me out here. This space has great potential. Pleasant interior, unoffensive music conducive to a good conversation, convenient location near Astor Place. Aesthetically pleasing, um, "squares" of something halfway between a roll and nigiri. Specifically, the minced fish prep of a roll, but on a straight bed of rice. Sliced into squares. But when your bite is 80% unseasoned rice, the balance that is so prized by the food tradition you as ascribe to is violated.
There was so much rice I briefly thought I was at an AYCE joint.
Udon was perfectly fine.
I was here on a Sunday during a busy post-pandemic season and it was about a fifth occupied. Let's see what happens next in this space in about a year.
Excellent food service and drinks. Everything about it is sleek and adventurous. Can’t wait till the basement speakeasy opens up
This Japanese restaurant is Kinda hidden jam in Manhattan! Atmosphere and Service are welcoming and friendly. The food is so good! My favorite ones are garlicky kareage and the mushroom salad! Highly recommend MINE craft sushi
Really good! Wasn’t able to take pictures this time cause we ate all the food so quickly and totally forgot.
Sushi was so good with great presentation but the Agedashi Tofu and Mochi Scallion Pancake was bomb!
Will definitely be back and so excited to try different things on the menu. We didn’t get to try to curry dishes which is next on the list!
If you have ever been to Japan for Sushi, this might be the closet you will get in terms of taste. The rice literally melted in my mouth and then I was hit by the most delicious simple flavors. The place is called #mincraftsushi. It’s 3 months in on St. Marks and the staff is fantastic as well. It’s a sibling restaurant from Japan which has been open since the 70’s and prides themselves on their food and service. Come and show some love. Your stomach will thank you. I also had the spicy miso soup which was delightful and complex and soothing in flavor. The slow cooked Buta was also very delicious. The space is also about to open a sake bar downstairs.
Really nice appetizers and the sushi is beautiful. A nice place to share some food items and have drinks at the bar.
Everything you can ask for if you r in new you’re and want to feel like you r in Japan
Great service, traditional sake served in a traditional way and
Amazing food and overall experience! Everything was amazing. From the beer to the agedashi tofu to the amazing sushi to the wonderful service and homey feel. The presentation is fun but it should not be the main attraction. The sushi was awesome and the visual and textural twist on classics works very well. If I could change one thing it would be a bit less rice in the sushi, but I’m fine with it as it is.
