Mint Salon, Rochester NY

I brought my son in to get a kids haircut and although they did an alright job I don’t think it was worth $80.it took her not even 10 minutes to cut his hair & there are still some areas I feel like she should’ve cut more because the dead ends are still there. I would never recommend paying $80 for a kids hair cut.definitely not worth it. Beautiful salon though and I’m sure they do a good job on other things but if they’re going to charge so much for a kids hair cut it’s just a rip off honestly.

I brought my daughter to Mint 6 months ago. She received an alright haircut for a lot of money. The staff made another appointment 6 months out. I was sent an email reminder which I never saw or opened. I received a call that I missed the appointment and was charged 70 dollars. I called back and explained the situation and received no help. If I was given a refund I would have considered returning and spent 3 times the money. However, I will now never return and will never recommend this salon to anyone. Not worth your time. Very poor business model.

I went to mint a couple times a few years ago and had a terrible experience. I decided to give them another shot recently for a major curly hair cut. Tonee did amazing! She was nice and my hair turned out so cute. I never though my hair would look the way it does but Tonee worked her magic and it looks awesome!

I went to see Jordan and I am so glad I did! She taught me how to better style my wavy hair and did a curl cut on me! I looked amazing when she finished. She was very friendly and knew what she was doing.if you have curly hair you should go see her!

This was my first time at Mint Salon, and I was lucky enough to be booked with the beautiful Ms. Tonee. She was so amazing, not only did my hair look so much better after her magical hands touched it. She was so professional, kind and relatable. Which made the experience so much better. I cant wait to get back into her chair, and get all my friends in with her as well!

If you’re looking for polite and professional attitudes be advised to look elsewhere. I had an appointment that was cancelled with no notice given to me, which meant I showed up to a closed up shop wasting half my day trying to contact them to find out what happened. It was cancelled due to COVID, of which I am completely understanding, but tell the client! They didn’t email, call, or post anywhere (website, social media, a sign on the salon door) that they were closed. When I pointed this out to them (via a typed message) I was greeted with snark and told “they only accept kindness right now” and that I was “yelling at them”. Weird, I thought they accepted cash and credit. Either way I’ll take my money and my kindness elsewhere and you should too.

Dominique is an angel- caring, patient and listens to what I need for my hair.
She does an amazing cut and I wish she could come to my house and style my hair every day!

DO NOT GO HERE! I got my hair cut last year here and I told them I wanted bangs. However, I told them at least 4 times that I wanted to keep the length I had (because my curly hair grows super slow and I was finally happy with the length, which was about halfway down my back and took 3 years to grow). She then proceeded to give me layers (which I NEVER asked for and made it clear I didn’t want) and cut my hair to my shoulders! It looked absolutely horrible. And it still hasn’t grown back. So thank you guys so much for RUINING my hair. Again, please don’t go here!

Dominique is incredible! She has done an amazing job with my hair and my 2 daughters' hair. She is very knowledgeable and has a great way with little ones!

I’m so glad I found Mint. After several disastrous experiences at other places, I decided to make the trek from Buffalo to check it out. I always go to Dominique—who is wonderful—but I have consistently found everyone there to be friendly and extremely well-trained stylists. I also love the curl-positive, women-positive philosophy. Love Mint!

Mint is the best salon I’ve been to, hands down. Their staff is friendly yet professional. They always do incredible hair styling, and they really work with you to make sure you understand what works for your hair. Love this place!

I was struggling to find a hair salon that knew how to cut curly hair. When I made my first appointment with Dominique it was life changing! We set down talked about how i took care of my hair, what i was looking to do and what long term results i wanted out of it. During every step of the cut she told me what she was doing and why she was doing it, and i was able to recreate the same steps at home. She is super friendly and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my curls!

Dominique did a wonderful job! She was able to shape my hair and bring my curls back to life. 100/10 would recommend.

Best haircut and color I've ever had. Jordan's knowledge of curly hair was impressive, and I left the salon with my hair looking fantastic. Her salon was a very welcoming environment. I took my daughter there for her first salon appointment, and I went the week after. I would recommend Mint Salon to everyone!
