Being a woman w short hair, I don’t feel comfortable going to barbers. And going to a salon they charge me double for a “woman’s cut” my hair is so short it doesn’t take that long for an undercut or fade. A friend suggested I go see Laila and I’m so happy to have found her! Reasonable prices and doesn’t see my gender as a way to charge me for a full head of hair!
Always great service and flexible! I always feel so happy when I leave with a fresh cut!

Every time I have come to get my hair done here Laila has always been unbelievable kind and accommodating. She not only does she make everyone who walks in the door feel comfortable and welcome but she is always adamant on making sure that you get done what you need and that it looks amazing at the end. I highly recommend going here for any reason but also specifically if you're looking for an LGBTQ+ friendly place to get your hair done. I've been going for the past year and I don't plan on going anywhere else any time soon.

Before I went to M. O. D, I had accepted that I would never have hair that "looked good" or that I liked- I hated it. I came in telling the owner that, and of all my horror stories about barbers around Buffalo that had given me the wrong impression - that my hair was never going to look decent, that it was just "bad hair". But it wasn't my hair that was the problem - it was the barbers. Until I met Laila I never considered that I would one day look forward to getting my haircut and experimenting with it. I would not hesitate to recommend M. O. D.fade + dye to anyone. The owner has high expectations and consistently provides great service that you just cannot find anywhere else in Buffalo. M. O. D.actually cares about their clients and their satisfaction. They are truly the exception from my myriad experiences. All are welcome. All are accepted. All are valued. What else can you ask for?

Amazing place! I felt so comfortable and welcomed. I'm always weary of getting my hair and beard cut, but this place did an amazing job. I left extremely happy with the style, length and experience. Will definitely be back and will definitely recommend this place to friends and family!

I've been going to Lila's shop for years from when she rented a small space in Amherst. She's one of the best barbers who've ever cut my hair. Her fades and cuts are top notch and she always takes her time to make sure everything with the cut and style looks great before you leave. She's an artist and hair is her medium

Terrible establishment the owner calls her self a barber she’s not she shouldn’t be using a straight razor then cutting clients and laughing about it like cutting someone is a joke
She talks about all her employee’s like they are children and she is the foster mother that didn’t want them
She is inappropriate
I would rather go to one of the 10 other salons on deleware where I won’t feel like I’m being judged for what I walk in with on my head get your act together sis like I said before wrong one

Laila is seriously amazing and have gone to her now for years! She's excellent with personalizing services and recommendations. Always gives a great cut, and the beard trim, steam facials and happy ending scalp treatments are just incredible! Have always left there happy and would never go anywhere else

Erica took care of me and I can't recommend her or M. O. D.enough. Ive been looking for a place I wanna go back to for over a year now and M. O. D.is finally it and Erica is fantastic!

Came in for a color correction and to get a new style for the fall. My stylist Olivia did an amazing job on my hair. Had a blast chatting with all the staff. Will return in a few weeks for some highlights

Really bad first impression. I booked on Vagaro for my son and left comments as he has a disability that includes a speech delay. I explained this so that there would be less confusion and so that the barber had the heads up. I also asked about possibly getting another service that I didn’t see how to book. I assumed that someone read the blurb I put in and I received a confirmation email for the appointment. We arrived to an empty shop. It turns out they had just moved from the Kenmore ave location to Delaware Ave. We got to the new shop and the place looked…not good. They apparently didn’t want to pay for a professional to paint the salon and the floors were covered in paint splatter. The waiting area seating was window seating. Unfortunately the windows caused condensation and the seating area was a cushion sitting in dirty water from the windows. When the barber called me up for an appointment I explained that the appointment was for my son and realized that they hadn’t bothered to read my comments in the booking app. It made for an uncomfortable appointment as the barber kept asking my son questions and he couldn’t understand his answers. He didn’t even understand his name which he would have known if he would have read the comments. The owner did apologize. She said she was too busy to read the comments. The cut was good and they were nice but it was the most unprofessional salon I’ve ever been to.

Such an amazing place! The owner is so awesome and accommodating. The owner's level of experience is fantastic and I'm constantly getting compliments about how she cuts and colors my hair. I've been one to get uncomfortable at salons and shops, but Laila and her team make you feel so safe and welcomed! Definitely highly recommend! Go see her and upgrade yourself!
